3rd - Temple - Republique hotels & places to stay

1K Hotel was a great hotel in Paris, especially with all the amenities and modern decor. My only caveats with this hotel would be 1) the service from the attached restaurant 2) the maid service and 3) the television. When we went to the restaurant to ask what the vegan/vegetarian options were (as we booked this hotel specifically because there were noted options) the hostess was downright rude. I don't think she understood what we were asking, but rather than try to help or understand, she simply said "no" and walked away. We were shocked. Secondly, we put a Do Not Disturb sign on our door for the four night, five days we were here. On the fourth day, we were in our room and heard a banging at the door. It was the maid and she kept banging until we let her in and she started cleaning! Finally, we had issues with the movies on the TV that front desk couldn't help with and said was broken. Tons of free movies to watch and none could be played.

We stayed in the Little palace hotel for 4 nights (upgraded ourselves to superior room). The room is really nice (all rooms in Paris are pretty small...) and has a great balcony overseeing the beautiful view of Paris and specifically the garden which is right next to the hotel & Matisse museum. The room was very clean and tidy and the housekeeping was great. The staff is REALLY friendly and willing to help in any way. The location is right next (300m) to two Metro stations. We didn't eat there - right next to the hotel there are couple of nice Caffes.

Wow. Got this one after looking at ratings on...another website :) and was not disappointed. The hotel is beautifully set out with each floor designed around a different French film icon. The reception is set out like the front of an old cinema with the names of those on duty rather thanfilm titles. The staff are dressed up like old cinema workers from a by-gone era. The lighting and furniture is all movie related so think Stage lights and Movie equipment cases. There is a mini-grand piano which guests may play. The staff were amazing - very helpful and friendly.The breakfast was wondeful and each afternoon tea is layed on for the guests. I'm not talking a few sandwiches here...It was a full spread of juices and cakes etc. The Metro station is just over the road and it's about a 15 min walk down to the river. We had a fantastic time in Paris and this hotel was a big part of that.

Pros: location (steps from Place des Voges); nice lounge with coffee, tea, beverages (alcoholic and nonalcoholic); very quiet even though I was right on the street; friendly, helpful staff who spoke English well; good shower. Cons: The rooms were a bit small although larger than many hotels in Paris, and the decor was a bit tacky for the money. Kind of busy, “loud,” colorful pattern in rug and bathroom tiles.

The hotel Relais du Marais is located perfectly, very close to metro stations Republique and Temple. There are lots of good restaurants in the area and it is a good base for walking and shopping in the Marais neighborhood. We choose breakfast at the hotel - there is not a lot of tables, but the food is good for the money. Hint: If you arrive with a car, use the garage at 122 bis Rue de Temple. It is a 5 minute walk only, and when you checkout, the reception can register you. When you then are at the payment-box at the garage, call the attendant and explain you just checked out from this hotel. They will then give you half price on the garage (saving you around 22 euro per day).

I would like to say THANK YOU to the amazing & efficient staff of My Hotel in France Le Marais (special to the manager, PANDUKA!. Efficient and welcoming staff, good English, very helpful whatever your request. THANK YOU! Hotel is modern & brand new (compared to most hotels of the same price in Le Marais, best hotel for the price in the area, you usually get old, dodgy and tired rooms and hotels..), bed very comfortable, clean clean clean! Location is amazing, in between Le Marais St Paul/Bastille & Republique. Also close to amazing shopping areas, best bars & restanrants and... best pastries and boulangeries in Paris (check the croissants & baguettes at 134 rue de Turenne, miles away from the hotel!) & chocolatier Jacques Genin, accross the street! Convenience store opened until 3 am is located JUST down the building. Perfect, thank you!

The hotel is very well located within walking distance to the Siene river. The Strasbourg St. Denis metro station for lines 4, 8, and 9 is at the corner with easy transfer to other lines and RER at the Le Halles Chatelet station. There's a Monoprix right across the street and a few dining option including the healthy NAO salad next door and some late night dining options. The room itself is not very large, typical of any Paris hotel. However, everything looks new and super clean. I appreacite the cupboard with hangers and drawers and especialy the easy to use set your own code safe. The TV is Samsung which pairs seamlessly with my Samsung phone Allcast for Netflix. The Nuxe toiletries. large and fluffy towels, and disposable soft fluffy slippers gives it a sense of luxury despite the budget price. Most importantly, the staffs are caring and very nice. I would definitely recommend the Grand Marais and I'll come back for sure on my next trip to Paris.

Loved the location of this hotel as it is still central and walkable to many attractions, but is a bit out of the way from hustle and bustle. Staff were very friendly and spoke English. Rooms were a bit small but to be expected for Paris. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as we preferred to go to local cafes for the same price. Would stay here again and would recommend to friends looking to vacation in Paris.

Service by staff was great, always greeted in a friendly manner and they were always willing to provide assistance when required. The hotel is located in a quiet location off a busy road, so access to metro was easy. The trendy Marais area is about a 10 minute walk away (Rue de Temple). The room was smallish but not too cramped for one person, may be a bit tight for two. The room was clean and sheets/towels replaced every day. Decor is a bit tired, some stains on care and a few reviews have mentioned cracked tiles which were present in my room although they weren't a hazard - just hairline cracks. Not a big issue, as cleanliness and hygiene is more important for me. Overall a pleasant stay and will return next time in Paris.

It was great, I would recommend to anyone to stay there. We were on the 7th floor the highest floor and we had a lovely little balcony (paris style). We were right by temple station on the metro and also very close to republique. The employees were very helpful with from spots to go to and also we ordered in one night and the website was in french and we having trouble being able to send our order. We asked downstairs if they could call and order for us in french and they did :) They were very helpful. The room is small from a US standpoint, but we really enjoyed our stay.

We obviously had a different idea about what a "serviced apartment" involved. After wondering why towels had not been changed we discovered - after trawling through the folder in the "apartment" that it was policy only to change towels after 8 days. There was a note that said this could be changed after negotiation (and presumably a fee) but seriously? This is an unserviced hotel room with wifi and a kitchen - but no washing machine. You can get better deals on Air BnB. By the way, DO NOT spend the 35 Euros on having staff meeting you at the apartment. The office is about 100 metres away.
