Superb view for a fair price.”
Seems like recently renovated, the rooms are better than it seems in the photos. With a private beach, plus a pool it is a very peaceful place to enjoy the scenery. Totally recommend

Private beach, beautiful laguna, very calm”
We had a bungalow with garden view, which was located at the laguna, even though the resort is quite big, we had enough privacy to relax, the beach is amazing, the included breakfast was very diverse (Thai soup, fresh fried/ scrambled egg, fruits, etc), the bungalow was very basic but spacious, hotel staff is very friendly, they brought us bottles of water every single day.

Lovely ”
We loved this resort. The room was basic but ok. The ferry ride and transfer to the resort was a reasonable 600 baht. Staff was wonderful. The grounds could use a litter cleanup. The entire resort is built on huge boulders so if a traveler has any issues with mobility this place is not for them, there are many steps over rocks and roots. The beach is a little distance away but is nice and lined with beautiful trees for shade if wanted. Pool is nice. Food is served at at onsite restaurant and is good and very reasonably priced. A few restaurants are a short walk away. Kayaks and SUPs are available at no charge. Snorkeling is decent but a long swim out. I hate to leave😢

Unique beach with calm, clear water”
The beach which only is used by guests is fantastic - clear water, lots of fish to see close to the shore and great surroundings. Resort is a bit outdated, somewhat messy but rooms are generally good (we lived in two different ones). Helpful staff. Breakfast was okay. Food at restaurant and the restaurant itself below average for a resort.

Mixed feelings ”
This place charges way too much without providing much in return.. The beach however is the most beautiful we visited and the reef just off the gently sloping beach is wonderful. Loads of healthy coral and great seaside. The resort itself has a ramshackle charm and the huts vary in comfort and dilapidation. We stayed in the cheapest air con room for 2 nights and it was pretty grim. They didn't clean the room each day and we were only given one sheet and a strange fleece style blanket- no top sheet to go under it. The bathroom was a concrete cell. If it had been value for money we wouldn't have minded. It's a very engenerous hotel- they have an amazing location, with a beautiful beach but do nothing to upgrade the place with the money they must be making. Apparently they are building a resort elsewhere so maybe that's where their profits are going because its certainly not going here. We ended up staying on a hut on the beach because the coral.was so compelling but had to step around holes in the floor and go out to mosquito ridden outdoor bathroom. I guess you make weigh up the balance- being fleeced for a beautiful beach experience without the luxury.

Above average”
Pros: good views, staff generally nice, motor bikes for rent Cons: dirty rooms, breakfast mediocre, dangerous wooden planks walkway Conclusion: great for under budget, minimalistic, and wanting to get most out of Koh Kut

Once upon a time this resort may have been decent ”
You can tell the maintenance of this resort is being ignored and is relying almost solely on its proximity to the beach. Parts of it are decaying to the point of being a liability e.g wooden stairs and walkways are broken with nails protruding (wear at least flip flops at all times). The little wading pool that's one of the first things you see after you check-in has been completely abandoned, more like a cesspool. There's an awful stench of sewage while eating breakfast in the dining area that kept us from eating there. Line-up and wait time for eggs in the AM are long...why not simply prepare eggs and omelettes and have them ready in the food warmers? Btw there are food warmers for noodles, rice and other breakfast dishes but for some reason no burners to keep the food warm. Other recomendations: side table lamps in rooms, clean up the premises (we actually picked-up all the garbage around our A/C bugalow), fix the canapes, provide kettles in the rooms...basics=provide water and toilet paper not just on cleaning days. Collecting 100 bats as collatoral for the room key is a perfect indicator of how cheap and stingy this resort actual is. Paying upwards of$75 cnd a night for such a dilapidated resort is ridiculous. I could go on....

Beautiful Location and Fair Prices”
A-Na-lay is located in a beautiful bay that has great swimming and snorkeling. You can rent kayaks for 300 baht a day and scooters for the same price to go exploring the island. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The manager even went out to get me some eye drops from the pharmacy one night after I came down with an eye infection. They have a breakfast every morning that serves both a western and local fair. The prices at the restaurant are cheaper than the surrounding resorts. There is a convenience store located just out front not associated with it as well so you can get household products as well as snacks and drinks late in the evening long after the island shuts down. There is a dock located at A-Na-lay and you can get a boat directly to the resort and they offer a snorkeling trip to Koh Rang as well. The sunsets are beautiful and the rooms are pleasant and peaceful. I had stayed at another resort before and was skeptical when my Thai fiance wanted to stay here, but I was won over b the resort. My only complaint was that I kept getting lost early in the week getting back to my room. I like how they incorporated the natural surroundings into the resort instead of paving everything, and after a few nights I was finding my way around easily.
