German holidays”
We stayed at the A&O Hotel Berlin Mitte for 4 nights. Was a pleasure staying there, everything was nice and comfortable, huge advantage is of course the centre location and closenes to the U Bahn line. Staff was helpful and friendly. Many thanks for hosting us.

Convenient and good hostel”
Eventually I had only myself in the 6-bed dorm for 2 nights, so I don't want to comment much about the room. Anyway like the AO in Dresden, the room has everything for a traveller's need. The location is just 8min walk or 1 stop by bus from Berlin Ostbahnhof, which is very convenient. Overall I recommend to stay there.

Exceptional”
Wonderfully located in Kruezeburg close to Mitte, the hostel is clean, comfortable, and well-staffed. It is a big facility and can be lively at times. Great Internet, with lots of common area space. I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.

Would recommend!”
This place is massive! There’s lots of facilities, outdoor area, big lounge area, lockers, washing machine, dinging area, kitchen. They let us check out late for a small price but was worth it. They also accommodated is in the same room when we booked another night. Two great clubs down the road. In a good neighbourhood, just rent a bike and bike around. Transit system is not far from you though. Hop across the water and go to Holz Market! It’s beautiful spot on a nice day.

Too noisy”
I stopped once in A/O in Cologne, and it was very nice. However, I didn't realize that in Berlin it will be different story. Since it is probably one of the cheapest hotels in Berlin, the public that books this hotel is corresponding: the horny noisy teenagers are being constantly unloaded by the buses, and they produce incredible amount of noise, especially in the night. Ear plugs or headphones is a must, but even then the walls/floor are shaking, because people are running, dancing, having sex - you name it. They also smoke right outside, so the smoke goes in easily. Never again! In Cologne, however, the same hotel was very good (or I was lucky)...

My experience at A&O was amazing. At A&O MItee everything is perfect, hotel, position on the city, friendly host.

Excellent stay!”
We were a group of 6, staying in 3 private rooms on the top floor of building 3. The rooms were super clean and way bigger than we expected. Bonus in a hostel to have a hair dryer in the room! We found the rooms to be super quiet, never heard anybody coming or going. The common area is massive with everything you need, food, giant screen for sports, lockers, fooseball, computer area, comfy seating. It was right in the heart of the action and walking distance to the May 1 festivities, also to East Side gallery and lots of bars and restaurants. Overall, exceeded expectations!

A Hostel With Extras Rather Than A Hotel”
We started in a family room while our daughter was with us, thn moved to a twin room (double beds didn't seem to be an option). The family room was a very good size, with two toilets and a shower. The twin room was very small - for example, you had to open the bathroom door to dry yourself! Breakfasts are good, with a range of cereal and juices plus croissants, buns, eggs, cheese and so on. The rooms are poorly sound-proofed and the doors close noisily, so you hear everyone arriving and leaving. U-Bahn and S-Bahn are a few minutes walk away, giving access to all of Berlin's tourist attractions.

Big hostel, ok price, bad location”
The location is not good, from Berlin Train Station you have to take metro twice since you need to change the line once. There're no bus stations near the hostel so you need to walk at least 5 mins from bus station or 10 mins from metro to get there. No towel offered, just 1 elevator in such a huge building. Also quite loud at nights, since there're many tourists staying in this hostel and sometimes they get drunk. No wifi in rooms, need to go down the lounge to use it. If you're thinking of paying for the breakfast in the hostel, which is 7 euros I think, I recommend you to go out and there's cafe called "Le Vent" right across the hostel, where you can have a very decent breakfast for 5.90 euros. Stayed for 3 nights and the last night, there was just me in 6 mixed dormitory.

Excellent value for money”
Very friendly staff, facilities were good, they even have free lockers if you bring a lock. Location is really good, our room was clean. The only con could be the bathroom size but for the price I have nothing to complain about!

You get what you pay for”
Prices are low and in return you get a clean room with a good bed. It's small, there is not much more then that in the room but it's nice anyway. The bar reception area is nice as well.

Noisy place for one night, no lockers nor functioning sockets ”
Not only a street noise but maintenance works that happens to take place at 7am can be a pain. In the dorm room bed side sockets didn't work. There was no bed side individual lamp, only main light to disturb everyone else when you arrive late. No security lockers in the room. These are all very small and inexpensive things but for traveller it means the world to recharge phone or have a little bed curtain separaing your privacy in a shared room space. Check in was very slow as there wasn't enough staff at all times. Linen isn't included in the price and you aren't informed about it/ offered bedding by the counter. A place like this could do better. Otherwise clean and well located.

Hostel”
good clean accommodation, hostel style. good breakfast for 4 euro. close to the last remaining part of the berlin wall (with art work on it). is located on street with some squats.

Not bad for one night”
I read in one comment before that this is hotel for teenagers. It is really true, drunk teenagers all around, you might not be able to get some sleep if you come over weekend. Stayed only one night for few hours though. The room itself is ok, everything is small but tidy. Overall everything not bad for the price.

Clean and good location ”
The hostel is cheap compared to others and the location is good, near to train station and subway stations. The room looks clean. However if there is a hair dryer and trash can then it will be much better!

Magique”
There’s a magician do a magic for people stay in this hostel. But don’t worry about that. This’s crime from French gouvernement.

Above average”
The location is pretty good since it’s central and within walking distance to the east side Gallery and a indoor market. The room itself isn’t too bad but the shower drain is semi-blocked and certain areas of the room were quite dusty. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable but the main problem we had was the noise. There were heaps of teenagers staying at the hostel and it didn’t seem like there’s anyone to keep their noise in check. They were slamming the doors and talking loudly well past midnight, and one time at 3 in the morning. If there were 10 of them in the group, the door would slam 10 times just for them to get out. We stayed for 3 night and weren’t able to sleep for any. If you’re not a heavy sleeper then be aware that it could get very loud at night. I’ve read about the complaints about their staff, but during my stay they were helpful and friendly even though you do have to wait since there aren’t many of them around, so make sure you have plenty of time to spare.

Understaffed”
Check-in takes a loooong amount of time as there was only one person servicing the line when I arrived. At some point, I also got locked out of the room because of IT problems. No lockers inside the room, something important for me in a hostel.

My favorite part of this hostile hotel was the lobby area which is nice and spacious and very open”
What can I say it's a basic and now nothing special the rooms are not that great but it's designed to be relatively inexpensive. The lobby on the bottom floor was large and spacious and I like the area

Excellent hostel”
A bit secluded from stores and restaurants- ended up having dinner in the hostel. Overall it is an impressive hostel with huge lounge areas.
