Pro's are that you have a nice livingroom and they organise all kind of tours.. Staff and owner are very kind and helpfull.. Breakfast is ok they have Apple and Orange, bread, peanutbutter, jam and coffee and tea..

I went to Singapore to go roller skating up and down the park for a couple of days. The price I had was very good considering that breakfast is free and there are free drinks available 24h/day. I gather that this is pretty normal across S'pore and I was very happy with the facilities. Perfect location for me, about 4-5 junctions from ECP. See you next time!

Staffs are nice, especially Diana who was very friendly to my little one. It feels like home and I love the breakfast because of the fruits, so healthy! Our room is big and spacious. I will recommend it to our friends who will travel in SG in the future.

Best thing about this hostel are the location and breakfast. 30min bus ride from Changi airport, bus24, enlight at bus stop 82049 Joo Chiat complex, turn left and take and 7min walk. I love that they provide fruit for breakfast. 10SGD for key deposit. Room for improvement : curtain for dormitory bed.

You have to walk a bit to get to the nearest train station. But since this is Singapore, walking is really safe and relaxing! Common facilities and bedrooms are air-conditioned and spacious, however the toilet and bathroom was a bit substandard

+ good breakfast, free coffee and tee all day, very nice and helpful staff, let me check in earlier and stay with baggage after check out at reception/lobby. many food options walking distance. - Wi-Fi not so good, especially at night no soap, shampoo or towel provided. Hostel is situated at ~850m distance from bus to/from airport.

I booked the Betel Box at the last minute, and was pleased to find an empty bed. I arrived, and was checked in by a very sweet lady. She immediately handed me a map and pointed out some nearby areas that I could visit. The bus is not far at all if that is the way you like to travel. There is no elevator, so if you have extra bags, be ready to carry them up the stairs. The rooms are fairly roomy, but they only turn on the ac at night, so they can get pretty warm during the day. When I first got to the room, the system seemed to be in disarray. The lady didn't know which bed was supposed to be mine, so she threw some sheets on the bed and said she was "pretty sure" it was available. Don't forget to bring your sheets back down when you check out! I did not get a ton of sleep. The beds are not very sturdy, and one of the employees barged in early in the morning to greet (yell) at one of the other guests and woke the entire room. Tiny lockers are available if you pay for them. Thankfully, I was only there for one night, but I did not even attempt to brave the showers/bathrooms. It was in a corner of the building, so everything was compact and nasty. Clearly not cleaned very well. They smelled quite terrible as well. Thankfully, the sink is outside the bathroom, so I was able to use that. The lobby is fairly inviting. There are another set of stairs to get from the front door to the social area. There is a code to enter the front door, but no security on the individual rooms. The lobby has comfortable seating, and a pool table. The "luggage storage" is simply pushing your bags under the pool table for the day and hoping nobody touches them. Overall, yes it is cheap for a night, but I wouldn't look into it for a longer stay.

great place, staff, but small room”
Betel Box is a great place to stay, I like it because the female room is clean but I think it's too small. If the room is fully occupied, it's difficult to place your bags. Other than that the place is awesome. Clean toilets, clean room, super nice and informative staff (they'll give you information and tips about travelling in singapore and very detail and honest about it), and my favorite place is the common room. It's homy, comfortable and you can actually mingle with everyone else staying here. Thankyou so much betel box, will definitely be back here. Recommended for solo travellers.

Homiest, best hostel service!”
Uncle and his staff were the best! Location in Joo Chiat may not be very near city central area unlike Bugis but their service during our stay was totally worth the few minutes walk from Paya Lebar MRT station, or from Joo Chiat Palace if by bus, Betel Box deserves all its recognition having warmest service, offers for the best tours of Singapore, great food and more! Will definitely be back next time for a longer stay. Till next time Uncle

Lovely hostel and very friendly staff ,I thought it was really a nice hostel because when I snoop the internet last week I saw it was cheaper than the other Hostel.the common area is really cozy, they serve many different type of beers, there's wii and pool table. The stay was good but the location is in a small street that is always crowded at night .definitely come back and stay in this hostel again they provide gym facility down the road, and the hostel is not so far to east coast park

I have stayed in many hostels in SG but this hostel will be one of the best hostel to stay. I was sincerely shocked and taken away on the cleanliness of the hostel and the bathrooms!!! The staffs are superb character and very helpful. I will and also have recommanded many of my circles to make this hostel as a choice. Even the iron box is well kept because many hostel spends thousands for operations but don't take care of daily usage items. 10/10👍👍👍
