Traditionally we stay in old world hotels, so was a little hesitant to book the modern Hotel i31 in an old world city, but the reviews swayed us. So glad we did book, it's a wonderful hotel! Modern, comfortable and charming Hotel i31 places an emphasis on the cozy, and whilst modern and cozy, in hotels at least, don't often go together Hotel i31 manages it perfectly, I'd also add that it it's a quality hotel too, with friendly staff, great bar with excellent bar food and the rooms really are cozy meets cool. Whilst the breakfast is the usual delicious but pricy affair (as are all hotels), around 20 euros, there is a cheaper 5 euro option that offers tea, coffee and croissants which is nice to have as a less expensive option but with all the convenience of eating in the hotel. The free (non alcoholic) mini bar is a nice touch and was heavily used, I'm sure it saved us a small fortune! Location wise there's a U-Bahn 2 minutes walk around the corner that gets you everywhere. Also you have restaurants close by down Friedrichstraße and then lots all along Torstraße which is just off Friedrichstraße. There's a Balzac Coffee shop right by the U-Bahn which is great to get your day going, and if you don't want to pay the 30 euros to get to Tegel airport or from it, then you can easily take the U-Bahn, then a short bus ride to the airport door for a lot less. To plan your public transport journeys I'd recommend the City Mapper app which was a revelation to us. To sum up then Hotel i31 leaves very little to be desired, it manages an unfussy, relaxing yet quality environment as a base to explore Berlin, much more than functional modern it creates it's own little atmosphere, helped along by a peaceful courtyard garden. We'd go back in a heart beat!

The Boutique Hotel i31 in Berlin is a new and lovely hotel right in the heart of Berlin. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet is far above average. The rooms are small but very well designed. The location is perfect for visiting both the eastern and western parts of the city. We would definitely return to the i31.

Fantastic Place to Stay”
Clean and welcoming. Great location, with easy access to a number of key places to go and see, such as Checkpoint Charlie, also easy access for trains etc. Rooms are well equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Lovely relaxed bar area, with great staff. What surprised me was how quite it was when you were in your room virtually heard nothing, so a great nights sleep 🛏. A number of good places to eat out within walking distance . Am already planning my next trip to Berlin, and will definitely be staying at Boutique Hotel i31. Would highly recommend it to other potential guests.

Great vibe, good value”
(n.b.: I wrote this same review on another travel website) Located in the Mitte area of Berlin, staying here affords you a very short trip via public transportation to most things you want to see on your visit. Upon arriving by car we were able to park under the hotel for €15 a night. Check in was simple and we were "upgraded" as this was our first time in the hotel. In our room we were greeted by an apple and some chocolates. Our 4th floor room was comfortable. There were two twins pushed together (as we've found in all but one hotel) forming a roomy and comfortable double. There was also a desk and chair, a small bench, and a place to put your luggage. There was also space under that to put shoes on a shoe mat which was provided. There was a wardrobe for hanging clothing, a fridge stocked with soft drinks (at no additional cost), and a safe. The toilet was in a separate "room" from the bathroom. The bathroom was enclosed by sliding glass doors. The sink and shower were next to each other. There was room to put toiletries out of the way. A full array of towels were provided, as were Morton a Brown toiletries. The shower had an adjustable shower head and good pressure. There was ample room in towel rack was heated if desired. Instead of windows into the courtyard we had a full on door to open. It was very cool the nights we were there so it was nice to open before bed. The vibe of the hotel is very cool. There are turntables at reception and gummy candies available in jars at reception, too. There are scooters and bikes for rent. The bar seemed great but we didn't hang out there at all. Breakfast wasn't included so we didn't partake. They did offer multiple options for breakfast to suit travelers' needs. There were also umbrellas everywhere in case you needed one. Overall this hotel is very hip and offers travelers some great options. I would definitely stay here again. Great value!

My wife and I were on our first trip to Berlin and stayed 5 nights at i31. It was a great decision as the hotel is only a short taxi ride from Tegel airport, has a train station around the corner and is within walking distance of many of the major attractions (less than 30 minutes to Museum Island). The staff were friendly and efficient, the room was large and comfortable and the bar downstairs was cosy. They offer a range of breakfast options - normally we eat breakfast outside the hotel but the prices/selections saw us eat breakfast at the hotel every day. Great value for money and we would definitely stay there again.

Perfect location, comfortable rooms, friendly staff”
We were so thrilled with our choice of i31 for our tour through Europe. After a few long days of backpacking, this hotel was a pleasant treat! Spacious, well appointed, quiet rooms w/ plenty of amenities. Rooms included free fruit, mini-bar drinks (non-alcholic) and chocolate! Luxury bathroom shampoos/gels were included.Staff was extremely cheerful and helpful. Location was perfect - less than a block from U station, plenty of restaurants/shops near by and walking distance to the Berlin Wall Memorial. Overall this hotel felt very suited for business travelers and leisure travels a like!

i31 was an amazing choice of hotel! My partner and I were put in a terraced room, due to some vacancies the hotel had and the additional outside area was simply lovely. The special touches like Molton Brown toiletries and chocolates each day made our room extra special. The staff were incredibly accommodating and the barman who made our cocktails was so friendly! Nothing was too much trouble for any member of staff there! The highlight was the breakfast, which was so varied in what it had to offer and all such lovely quality. The prosecco provided at breakfast also makes you feel like you're really on holiday! Its location was perfect and honestly made our whole experience in Berlin even more amazing! Thank you!

The Boutique i31 is a lovely hotel in Mitte and the rooms were spotlessly clean throughout our stay. Close to the main transport links makes getting about Berlin easy and with plenty of bars and cafes in the area it makes the hotel a great choice for a break in Berlin.

A small friendly hotel”
We were really happy with our choice of venue. The i31 is a modern hotel without the baggage of the 'traditional' hotels. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The place is unique and modern but clean and the rooms are to a very good standard, a lot larger than the normal city hotels across europe. The location is excellent and the breakfast was very good too with different cakes each day and prosecco always available. It was a great choice and I would recommend to anyone staying in Berlin.

Really nice hotel with a friendly staff”
This boutique hotel is situated close to many of the well known attractions in Berlin. We had a garden view room which is opposite the busy road so there was plenty of peace and quiet during our two night stay. The staff was always friendly and the hotel itself was also kept very clean and tidy. The rooms were well appointed and very clean. The bathroom was small but had everything one would need and the water pressure was fantastic. The room was well lit and the free mini-bar was a nice touch.

Couldn't be much better!”
Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel i31. Can't comment on food or bar as we just used the hotel as a base to explore the city (and found plenty of good food options in the city). And it's perfect as a base - the hotel is less than 100 yards from the Naturkundemuseum Underground stop, which takes you into Friedrichstrasse in less than 10 minutes. It's also right beside a tram line too. So overall everything was just really good - the staff were excellent, the room was great (we received a free upgrade to a better quality room when we arrived!) and great value for money. Highly recommend.

Loved staying at this hotel, Mitte is a fantastic neighbourhood and it's very close to the U Bahn with excellent public transport links. A very comfortable bed and great shower pressure with free drinks and chocolates in the room to boot!!! A must stay in our opinion and we absolutely loved Berlin, we will be back for sure!

Oasis away from home”
i31 is an absolute slice of paradise. It really did feel like a home away from home- the staff are friendly and obliging, the rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast makes an amazing start to your day. I spent 5 nights here over the course of one week and the two nights I wasn't there I wished I was! Will definitely be returning to i31 and will definitely sing its praises!

An amazing hotel in an amazing city.”
The hotel is in a good location as Berlin's public transport is fantastic. Tram, S and U-Bahn stations are just outside. The hotel is stylish and the rooms are faultless. Great big comfy beds, good power showers and very quiet at night. The free soft drink mini bar is restocked every day which is great when you've done a long day wandering around the city. The staff were friendly and helpful and the bar has a lovely ambiance at night. The cocktails are great. I'd recommend the hotel to anyone and I will definitely stop again if I return to Berlin.

Lovely modern hotel”
My girlfriend and I stayed for 3 nights in December. Our room (Pure option) was great. It had a nice view of the courtyard, a big comfy bed , plenty of room so it didn't feel cramped and complimentary drink and chocolates that were replaced daily (small but nice gesture). The location was great as it was next to an overground, underground and Metro but also near a large section of the Berlin wall that had been made into an outdoor museum of sorts. If you wanted to walk into the centre (although it was 2 stops on the underground) it took about 15 - 20 mins. When we go back to berlin we will be returning here.

In a handy part of Berlin, this was my first solo adventure, travelling abroad, easy to find staff very helpful, room very comfortable, clean mini bar and as I didn’t like Coke changed the Coke for Diet Coke , the room overlooked the Invalidenstraße a very busy noisy road , which was a bit disturbing, , expensive breakfast but so much choice ! Didn’t use the sauna or gym facilities , but loved the choice of pillows, air con as very warm there in late June. Lovely chilled patio area with water feature band a lovely place to sit at end of an exciting Berlin exploring day

Being located centrally in Berlin this naturally comes with traffic noise and we unfortunately do not have any influence on the tram schedule or the cars driving past. However, what we did was to install high-quality sound-proofing windows. For all noise sensitive persons we recommend our quiet garden rooms or offer earplugs in the Cozy rooms. The hotel stands in a best location, it's in the middle of Berlin but not so noisy. Few minutes walk to S,U & Strassenbahn. The hotel is very stylish, friendly, und a free smart phone is in the room which was very practically to carry with me. Even they filled free 6 bottles of drinks (fresh orange, fresh apple, sparkling water, nature water, light coke & coke) everyday in a refrigerator. The breakfast buffet was full of variety and very delicious. I really recommend this hotel. I will definitely visit again.
