Kanazawa hotels & places to stay

Cosy, clean with contemporary post-industrial design tatami room. It's located 3 bus stops away from Kanazawa Station and is just opposite the bus stop when you alight. As Kanazawa is a very small town, travelling to the main attractions from the hotel is just less than 15 mins by bus. There's a cafe on L1, shared dining space (tea room) on L5 and laundry area & vending machines on L6. There's also convenience store within walking distance from the hotel.

The room is beautifully decorated & modern. Lovely staff & reception. Close to Kanazawa station, accessible by walking through a shopping centre which had a large floor of restaurants to try. Very close to bus stop for JR sightseeing bus which was very convenient. Laundromat only has 2 available, so was constantly checking to see if they were free - if they could link a live update on the tv (like at one of the other hotels I've stayed at in Japan) that would've been very helpful. Otherwise, would book again.

The location is very convenient, a quick walk from the JR station with buses to get you anywhere you want to go in Kanazawa. The facilities are really really great, and the rooms are enormous for Japan! The free happy hour and free ramen hour are an amazing extra bonus, the noodles are delicious. Breakfast at the hotel is quite good, with quality food and a large variety, including some Kanazawa specialties. The onsen is spacious, and you can see a live update on how busy it is on your room TV which is really nice. Highly recommend booking this hotel - it was the best stay we had on our 20 days in Japan.

Location: The location is awesome, it is just next to Kanazawa station. From Kanazawa station, go to west gate, then turn left, the hotel is next to west gate door, u dont even need to cross the street at all, very convenient. Kanazawa station has many shops to shop and find food, very nice. Room: It is very tiny, this is the tiniest room i ve ever stayed in japan. 2people can walk in the same time inside the room n it is extremely hard to open luggage even the small one. If u open or put luggage, then there will be no room for u walking anymore inside the room. Ameneties r complete, clean.

This is a wonderful hotel to stay in, when exploring Kanazawa. The railway station Kanazawa is about 5-10 mins by foot, the wonderful Oyama Shrine takes 3-5 mins. Right behind it starts the path to the castle ruins and next to it is the magnificent Kenroku-Garden - deemed one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan which I would definitely concur to! There are various buses running from right infront of the hotel, as well as the JR buses. On the opposite site lies the fish market, the old Geisha district east of the Asano-river is a little further away, but you can reach it by walking for about 15 minutes. On the other side of the Sai-river lies the temple district, which is about the same distance, yet another direction. The modern, beautiful rooms are for Japanese standard quite spacious and when you reach the lobby you can relax with a cup of various hot or cold teas at any time. I will visit Kanazawa again some day and I would very much like to stay at this hotel again.

Was staying in family room with 4 beds include breakfast. Hotel are clean and walk able from Kanazawa Station (only 500mtr). Room are enough for 4 persons with 4 huge luggage Bathroom are huge and clean... Variant breakfast buffet menu (mostly Japanese home cook style) but all foods always yummy... You can find Nato in here, Lotus steam and porridge also and I love the fish and cheese fried bread. Tips if you come from Kanazawa Station with big luggage.. After the exit door (west gate) turn left and u will see basement stairs but don't take the stairs just go straight and u will see elevator. Once u already in basement just go straight and you will see another elevator. Take the elevator to a main street. There you go, you already cross the main street thru basement.. Really enjoy our stay in Mystays Hotel Premier and we will stay in here again when we visiting Kanazawa :) Arigatogozaimashita :)

Super clean & new with Muji style aok wood design. Bigger room space as compared to other hotels in Japan. This is the first hotel providing unlimited midnight soba & all day juice, coffee & tea with some Japanese candies / sweet biscuits at the lobby area. The only down side is that you need to walk 5 mins with heavy luggage to the hotel from the Omicho Market bus stop. Suggest travelers with heavy luggage to opt for taxi ride from Kanazawa station around 800 - 1000 yen per trip. Will definitely stay again.

the location is close to the bus stop and there are shooping malls connected to the hotel and across the road. Their staff is very helpful and friendly. I was heading to Osaka from Kanazawa and would stay at a private homestay with no frontdesk to hold my luggages in Osaka. The staff was very helpful by trying their best to find the closest place where i could pick my luggages. i would highly suggest traverllers to stay in hotel if you want to send luuggages from one city to another city. Room is nice and clean. Perfect size for 2 people.

Our family of 4 stayed in the deluxe twin room. I emailed the hotel directly to communicate on the booking, and the staff whom I was communicating with had excellent English and was super helpful, which made the entire booking process stress-free. The room had excellent facilities such as charging ports everywhere and the kitchenette had everything you need to prepare food including detergent and knife. The room even had washing machine, detergent and a small clothes dryer! It was like a service apartment at an airbnb price! The reason for having mixed feelings about this place is mainly because of the location. Although Korinbo is said to be the nightlife of the city, we felt that it was still very quiet, maybe because Kanazawa is a really small city and we were there during weekdays. Tatemachi street was absolutely quiet even during the daytime. For tourists, staying near Kanazawa station might still be a better option...

Clean, no frill, good service and value for money given the price. Booked first night at SGD 120+ (Due to good friday weekend) and 2nd night at around SGD80+. Room is a bit cramp as usual for Japan hotel - business hotel. 10-12 mins walk from Kanazawa Station or take cab JPY 660-900 depends on traffic. Near to Kenrokuen n Kanazawa Castle too- via short cut walk. By cab is arround 660¥ meter wont jump cos so near. Overall good hotel to stay if u are on biz travel or have small luggages. Otherwise please book for bigger room.

If you are visiting Kanazawa book your room at Ryokusone asap! From beautiful decor, exceptional concierge and guest services, to the best food we have had in Japan, do yourself a favor and make sure you you stay with the folks at Ryokusone for at least one night. We selected breakfast only as an option, but judging by the amazing experience we had I can only imagine what dinner looks and tastes like. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in this hidden gem of a city!

I have been to a few hostels in Tokyo and Kanazawa and K's in Kanazawa is so far my favorite. The staff is incredibly nice, the location makes it easy to walk anywhere within 10 minutes, and for the price, you get a ton. There are other hostels in Kanawaza that are more expensive, yet I find K's to have everything you need at a very good price. I recommend booking as soon as you can because they often sell out on weekends.

There always someone kind surrounding you especially Japan. My husband left his wallet in the cab without our knowing and we departed to another town. We gave a call to hotel when we noticed and the lady feel so bless to hear from us as the driver sent his wallet back to the hotel. nothing gone missing at all! Big thanks to mr driver and the everyone from hotel Emblem Stay Kanazawa. You guys just so NICE and we deeply appreciated. we will definitely be back and stay in this hotel again during our next visit to Kanazawa 🙏

Had been traveling many nights in various hotels in Japan and at the close of my visit, appreciated having some of the comforts of "home" - western style beds, towels, and space. Especially enjoyed taking family members to the top floor for a fabulous tepppanyaki dinner with a beautiful view of the city. Rooms were spacious, elegantly designed and service was thorough and attentive. Easily accessible from the Kanazawa train station - 2 minute walk without even crossing a street which was appreciated since it was snowing upon arrival.

We spent two wonderful, relaxing nights at this superb hotel, just a couple of blocks from the famous Kenrokuen Garden and Kanazawa Castle. The front desk staff went out of their way to accommodate our request to store our luggage before checkin and after checkout, graciously helping us with our heavy suitcases. We stayed in one of the lovely tatami rooms, Japanese style; the staff was ready to set up the futon bedding each evening upon request. Amenities included mini-fridge with chilled beverages, coffee maker, and electric kettle for hot tea. The hot springs at the hotel was a definite plus: clean, peaceful, uncrowded, fully equipped. The buffet breakfast was well worth the extra cost, featuring regional specialties and an impressive variety of fish, vegetables, salads, soups, condiments and beverages. Enough to keep you going all day! The lobby was gorgeous and the gift shop was elegant and reasonable in price. Next time, we'll stay longer!

I had an extremely pleasant and memorable 6-night stay at Kanazawa Sainoniwa Hotel. While the hotel itself is not close to Kanazawa Station (it probably takes 15 to 20 minutes on foot), it does provides free shuttle service, with an 11-seat shuttle van travelling at an interval of every 30 to 60 minutes. It is sufficiently convenient. On my first night, I only managed to arrive Kanazawa quite late, and I was grateful that the driver had a roll-call list ready to check that all guests get to the hotel all right. I was immediately impressed. The hotel, just opened in 2015, is very new, modern and clean. Upon my arrival, I was mesmerised by the ornate flowers, plants and artistic works. Each floor has these in place too. In fact, the entire hotel is an art itself, both in terms of interior design and architecture. Every guest in the hotel may enjoy the variety of services and facilities, e.g. delightfully delicious breakfast, a pristine public bath, free self-help laundry, training room (i.e. a mini gym), electronic massage chairs, free rental bicycles, computer (wi-fi internet connection is great), photocopy, etc. My favourite thing about the hotel is the staff. They are all polite, sincere, and helpful. They make guests feel comfortable and at home, never slow to assist. All these give a very positive image of Kanazawa, and it was an absolute value for money. The hotel greatly exceeds my expectations. I will definitely return and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Hokuriku area.

Hotel Kanazawa is located less than a 5 minutes walk from the eastern exit of JR Kanazawa Station, making it very convenient to get to especially after a long train trip. Right in front of the hotel is the local bus interchange/hub, where buses going to all corners of the city start their journey. Also, buses going to the famous attraction of Shirakawa-go depart from this interchange. The room in the hotel was large and roomy, very different from the tiny hotel rooms in Tokyo that are of the same price. The room was kept very clean throughout our trip. The staff were professional and spoke good English. They were also very helpful with directions.

This was the first stop of our two weeks in Japan, and we fell in love with Kanazawa and in large part to HATCHi. We booked a whole room for our group of 5, which came with 4 bunk beds (8 beds) and huge windows to look out onto the street. Beautiful any time of the day. The city is so quiet and it's a really short walk to everything we wanted to do in Kanazawa - the old Geisha district and Gold Leaf workshop. The cheesecake in the cafe was the best thing we ate on our whole trip, and we also had Butter Chicken for breakfast - which was kinda odd, but delicious!! Bathrooms and showers are clean and modern, and there are individual safes in each bunk. I actually left my laptop in the safe - and the hotel emailed me right away and I was able to leave it with them for a week while we travelled and came back to get it at the end of the trip. Very honest and helpful staff!

Stayed as a couple + two individual travelers in 2 rooms. Our arrival was a little crazy with a rare train issue causing a 2 hour delay but the staff were very understanding and helped us swiftly check in despite a little language barrier - our Japanese wasn't up to snuff but the owners were able to help with any questions we asked. Rooms were effectively equipped and what was expected from a traditional Ryokan with good air-conditioning/heating and bedding. Would highly recommend the slightly larger room if you're after a private bathroom - traditional bathroom with washing station and DEEP plunge bath. After a night we wanted to swap from 2 double rooms to the larger room and the owners were able to make this happen with no fuss and at a very reasonable cost. Location is perfect with a 10 min walk to the station and a 5-10 min walk to many shrines and Kanazawa Castle which was amazing. Would highly recommend the slightly larger room if you're after a private bathroom.

We stayed here for 1 night. To us, it is worth the money, as this hotel is the cheapest against other 'brand name' hotels in Kanazawa, but it is better if you have a car, since the location is not really convenient for ppl not having a car. It is clean, the size of the room is ok, helpful staff. Highly recommend the hotel to provide customers with free parking space.

Just stay here for 2 night to stop by to Shirakawago, the hotel location is next door JR Kanazawa Station, really strategies to continue your trip to next city (consider when we travel that time is snowing and hard for us to move around). The hotel is a little bit old and the room is small (typical business hotel in Japan), but clean and provide all basic amenities you need. The big applause is for the staff, when we check out we left our camera in waiting table at lobby, we totally forgot about it, and moving to station for our next destination, the hotel staff running and looking for us to return it, best attitude that we love about Japanese people. Totally love it, and we recommended this hotel for budget travelers, we'll back to stay next time we visit Japan again..
