"I booked a twin room for my teenage 2 children who were travelling from Japan to New Zealand via Seoul and Shanghai. They said the staff were friendly and very helpful and spoke some English. The room was clean and tidy - they had a great sleep. The buffet breakfast was lovely and although it was predominantly meat-based, there were enough vegetarian options for them to be satisfied - including vegetarian steamed buns! The hotel itself was very nice, lovely decor and the location was fantastic, so easy to find, right at the airport - you can't get any closer than that! The wi-fii was easily accessible - use Bing instead of Google (its blocked in China) and you'll have no problems with access. The staff offered to hold their baggage while they did a day trip into Shanghai and gave them a ticket to produce when collecting their bags later. In summary the children said it was a great stay and would definitely recommend it. All of the staff were so helpful. Thank you so much Da Zhong Pudong Airport Hotel for taking such good care of my children!"

"Just a very nice experience. I've stayed in several hotels in Shanghai, this was the nicest in terms of value and quality. My only complaint was that they were remodeling the exterior of the building, and they started early in the morning on some days. But I recommend this hotel to anyone in the Jing An area. Very nice."

"I love everything about this hotel. Great staff, lovely room, great location. Situated on the shopping Mall where the shops are. 10 minute taxi to the Fabric Market and 10 minute taxi to French Concession or a short train ride. Train line 2 minute walk from the hotel. The Bund is a 10 minute walk straight down the Mall. I would always stay at this hotel in Shanghai. "

"It was my first time to stay at CitizenM. Location is convenient that it was closed to a huge shopping mall (about 5 mins walk). Suitable for business traveller and people who would like to explore the Hongqiao dist. as it’s closed to National Convention Centre and Hongqiao airport. A young and energetic hotel that brighten our trip in Shanghai. The room surprised me as it was very smart that I could customise lights, AC, blinds, media via an iPad. In addition, I liked how the bathroom used aircraft-like materials and looked very refreshing. We had a lot of fun staying at citizenM with its facilities and its artistic interior design and ornaments. The breakfast was also delicious and my friends and I loved it! Would recommend it to friends and family. "

"It was a tough decision for my friend and I to choose hotel in Shanghai knowing the standard and rate in China can be quite different from other countries. We glad that we chose Grand Central despite some reviews said it has slow wifi. We had no problem with it and in fact even VPN works well for me. We love the fact that it is near Nanjing east station and it is very convenient (Family Mart is just behind the hotel, shopping district is just less than 5 minutes). It only cost us about RMB170 from Pudong airport to the hotel but it costs more from hotel to airport (RMB220).The only thing is we book the promo rate which is without breakfast, so can comment much on the food. Overall it was a pleasant stay. We will definitely go back if we are going to Shanghai again."

"I could only write this review based on the amount of time I spent in Shanghai, which was only about 8 hours. I booked 2 rooms online for my party of 5, and arrived very late at night. Not knowing much of the area, and starving after a long flight, all we wanted was food. The staff was very nice and informative and directed us to a restaurant serving hot pot on Nanjing Road, which was excellent. With our bellies filled and extremely tired, we got back to our rooms and were satisfied with the comfort and cleanliness of the tiny rooms. The beds were very comfy and gave me the best night's sleep which made us ready to travel another 14 hours home. I'm so glad I booked these rooms, even though it was a very short experience of Shanghai, the food, and their nice people."

"If you will be taking the free shuttle service, exit at T1 Gate 8 on the 1st floor (or i think Gate 27 for those at T2). There will be no signs to where you should wait but just wait right in front of the exit of Gate 8. The shuttle bus of Shanghai Deco is a LIGHT BLUE mini bus that arrives every 20-30 mins, don’t get on the big buses because those are for other hotels/locations. We found it difficult to figure out where to go because no one speaks and understands english when we asked about the shuttle despite showing them the name of the hotel. Another tip: If you will be going around and need to speak to locals, load a translator on bing.com (google does not load in China). This will save you a lot of time from repeating yourself to locals who don’t understand english. "
