Excellent Czech Hospitality”
We only stayed for a night and wished we had more time to spend here. Despite the short stay, we enjoyed it very much. The Goulash was delicious! We also enjoyed the mango dumpling. The breakfast was also yummy. These were all home-made. The host and staff were very friendly and made sure that our stay was enjoyable. A big plus is Trouble, the Dobermann. She accompanied me during my walk along the beach like a certified tour-guide. We are hoping to be able to return here again in the future! I would recommend this resort for the good experience. P.S. The Guimaras Mango Liqueur is a must try!

Quiet Place to Relax”
Located at Nueva Valencia - this is a bit farther from Jordan port. This can be considered as a boutique hotel (only 4 rooms). Booked last minute and got the fan room with shared bathroom. Had a nice view of the sea and the fan (2 fans per room) was enough to keep us cool at night. Actually, slept well here with the sound of the waves and the cool sea breeze. Beach area is not white sand but if you have tours go to Tahi beach which is in the same town. Place has a small pool enough for a dip and cool off. Food options limited, serving was enough, taste is OK. Staff is super helpful and will make sure you are well taken cared off. Owners are also polite and will have small chats here and there. The best thing about the place is for you to unplug, just relax with the view of the sea and lounge for hours. Internet is only strong at the ground floor/common area. Will not recommend doing remote work here (but you should be on a holiday anyway).

Good Place for Peace and Quiet Time ”
It was good that the place entertained us when we arrived the night before or scheduled booking. The place was cozy, but was hard to find, since GMaps/Waze won't work given that the signal was not great. Good thing that the locals are very accommodating despite the time (8PM). It's a good place to really relax and enjoy the province life, since the internet connection was also intermittent, or not strong. The staff and even the owner were very welcoming. We also had a nice chat with them. They also sent Czech breakfast, which was bet great. Overall experience is nice and will definitely return here when time permits.

When we arrived we were told that the Wi-Fi was not working and had been down for several days. The area is very remote and had no cell service. The water in the house was salt and the shower did not work properly.

Enjoy your holiday while helping locals”
A Czech couple started this Beach House and has been improving the touristic offer continuously. Locally grown herbs and homemade bread, yoghurt and smoked ham as well as jam produced in an association with local women do not only delight your palate, but also your soul. The service is very personalized and the owner will really take good care of you. I even got a free room upgrade after having stated that I did not enjoy the mattress in my first room so much. As far as mobility is concerned, you can get a tour organised or a motorbike provided of which the rent benefits a local too. The beach at the hotel itself has been suffering from intense local fish feeding by fishermen, hence the water is not clear. It is advisable to drive around the island and discover other amazing places too. The Beach House can be reached by an express from the port of Jordan directly. The Czech couple also runs an NGO "Helping hand for Guimaras" which shows the commitment towards the development of Guimaras once again. If you want to stay off the beaten track and contribute to local development, this place is very recommendable.

Unplug and relax”
Czech Beach House is where you should go if you want peace and quiet, to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of life. There is no cell signal, and while there is WiFi, it is intermittent. It may sound distressing at first (in this connected world), but after a few hours, you'll realize it's exactly what you need. The homecooked food is excellent - the homemade bread and marmalades, especially. Make sure you try the Czech goulash and dumplings. Yvon and Libor are gracious hosts, who will take care of everything you need. Pro tip: If you want to save money, look for public vans/jeeps to Nueva Valencia. Else, you'll have to pay 350-450 for a tricycle.

It's about people at Czech Beach House - from Aloha”
I had booked another resort for my stay, but after a day at Czech Beach Resort, I canceled that booking and stayed at the CBH the whole time I was in Guimaras. Yvon and Libor personalize your stay. I was looking for great food, a quiet space to write, and tranquility. I found great food, and a place I would consider a home in Guimaras. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the breeze from the sea made it the best sleep I had had, in months! The food is wonderful. In the Philippines I had trouble ordering fresh vegetables and Yvon made sure I had a salad for every meal, which was awesome! I also had the best roast pork ever. Ever. (And Yvon shared her secret recipe.) Some surprises in the meals: a mango knedle for dessert one night, a fruit bowl when I really needed it midday (how she knew, I can only surmise that she is super attentive to people). The bread was a homemade one with seeds and grain - the real stuff! Most of all, I felt cared for at CBH and would return as a friend.

Island Chillin”
This is the place to go if you really want to just unwind and Chill on a remote location on the island. The property is located in Nueva Valencia, but it feels like it's at the far edge of the town. Getting from Jordan to Czech would take about 40 minutes to 1 hour by tricycle, costs around 500 pesos. The property, is owned by a warm and generous czech couple Libor and Yvona. The place is homey, and nothing much going on. Simply sit on one of their chairs look out at the beach and just do nothing if that's your idea of chilling out. The room itself is basic, a HUGE bed, common restroom that's just being shared by two rooms anyway, an electric fan (sorry, no aircon here). Cellular signal, even GSM 2G is pretty hard to come by. We had a tough time sending an sms to our tricycle driver who would get us around by tomorrow. Food that's served by the couple is an ABSOLUTE BOMB. Also, don't you dare miss the sunrise.

A friendly hideaway”
The Czech owners are very welcoming. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well appointed. The big highlight is the wonderful home cooked food at very reasonable prices which includes Czech Goulash and Schnitzel. Yvon, who is the chef and owner, along with her husband, is keen to cook what you like and also will oblige for all of your needs. Drinks are very reasonably priced with minimum mark-up. Another highlight is the lovely home-baked bread. An island-hopping excursion can be arranged as well as island tours. The property is on the shoreline and there are cosy structures to sit or lie and watch the sun set. There is no sandy beach. They have a very friendly doberman dog. Downsides... Not many but there is no reliable Internet... Nor is there air-conditioning.

A Great Place for Relaxation (and getting fat)”
If you prefer a serene place instead of a crowded beachfront, Czech Beach House is for you. My wife and I had a great time staying here. Yvon and Libor are very accommodating and Yvon's European touch to the food she prepared for us was amazing. Looking forward to coming back.

Off the grid vacation ”
Czech beach house is place where you want to go off the grid. No signal, no expected calls. Slow wifi, no problem. It was a relaxing experiencing for us. We just enjoy the place. The food was great with a reasonable price.

This is the best place to stay on Guimaras, IMHO. The place is very cute and smartly furnished with many places to hang out. The resort is run as a foundation for a local orphanage to put your money to good use. The food is top notch and the service was perfect. The beach is not really a beach, but it is serviceable. Rooms are fan only, but they are quality with screens on the windows. Great place to stay.

The staff did eveything in their power to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We felt so well taken care of! The food is excellent! Our room was modern, clean, and cozy! We enjoyed swimming in the new saltwater pool. There are a lot of amazing sites to see in this part of Guimaras! We loved our stay and hope to go back one day soon! =)

Felt like home... but better!”
We arrived exhausted and left feeling relaxed and re-energized. While staying here we felt like we were part of their family and not merely guests. Any wish we had (from another beer to fixing a broken shoe, from a second main dish to recommendations on which beach to visit) was fulfilled. The room was big and extremely clean. Outside there were multiple places to hang out, drink a coffee, or read. The food was just amazing. As two vegetarians, we were so grateful to have multiple good choices (not just rice and eggs). Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
