An Excellent Escape in the beautiful Dead Sea Resort ”
I had the opportunity to visit the Dead Sea while participating in the Dead Sea Marathon weekend in February 2020. I decided to stay overnight at the David Dead Sea Resort and Spa and it was a great decision which I enjoyed a lot. The hotel crew were very nice and welcome and at the minute we arrived we received a warm welcome. We then stepped into the room and it was a beautiful room with a clear view of the Dead Sea on one hand and of the mountains on the other hand....the nature in its beauty. At the room we received a plate of fresh fruits and red wine so we could really relax and enjoy. The weather was fantastic and the swimming pool was open for us to enjoy it too. In the morning, we enjoyed a great breakfast with fresh omelette and salads.....overall, I had an amazing stay and I recommend everyone to visit and stay at the David Dead Sea Resort and Spa.

Affordable choice next to Dead sea”
David Dead Sea Resort & Spa, formerly as the Le Méridien of Starwood, has all it should be as a high end resort like hotel. The guest room has been renovated, but the public area did not. Floor tiles on the elevation hall are broken. The open air car park, has all car burn. And there is no direct access to the beach, even though it is just 50 meter away from Dead Sea.

Nice Hotel with private beach at Dead Sea!”
This is one of the nicer hotels in Ein Bokek. The rooms were spacious and had great views over the dead sea and desert. We loved being able to walk 10 minutes to the private sand beach were we could float in the dead sea without having to walk over rocks or take a shuttle back to the hotel. The breakfast buffet was huge with lots of variety and they kept it clean and well-stocked. Our only complaint was with the staff... they were rude and unprofessional. The ones who did speak English, didn't seem to know anything we asked about. The only helpful staff were working security outside. When we checked in, there were no towels in the bathroom. The maid, forced us to leave our room so she could clean it around her schedule but forgot to leave us towels. The next day, no one even came to clean the room. I understand that it is a big hotel with lots of people to accommodate but that doesn't excuse rude staff. Also, the 1st night, they had a concert in the lobby with very loud music till midnight. We were on the 16th floor and heard the music loud and clear! All in all, we would stay there again since the facility itself was nice.

Reasonable value for money, but too crowded and extremely noisy”
David hotel provided a dead sea vacation at a very good price, compared to other hotels at the same location. The facilities are good, the room was pleasant, breakfast buffet was rich. There are excellent dead sea water pools, jakuzee and sauna. The problems are in the public areas. The hotel is very crowded, so it was hard to find a quiet spot for the family to sit together and chat. The loby was always full and extremely noisy, with loud music playing through the evening. The pool was crowded and it was hard to find places in the shade. The hotel plays loud music at the pool ("Pool Party") all morning up to 14:00. The volume is painful. I asked the DJ to turn the volume down a bit and he refused. People smoke and drink inside the pool (including glass bottles, which seems a real hazard to me) and nobody ask them to stop.

David Dead Sea Resort - Place to Relax”
Thank You for a very relaxing weekend, fantastic large breakfast selection, facilities made for comfort, close to the Dead Sea waters, Private beach was really appreciated, a quiet corner of the hotel room was also appreciated & a spacious room. Pity the reception desk staff were in a "Bad Mood" and so unfriendly, bordering to rudeness, during the 3 days stay.

Good hotel, outstanding breakfast”
The breakfast is worth every single Shekel. We travel a lot and know many hotels in all regions of the world, but this was definitely oustanding. Also the rest of the hotel is to recommend - spacious rooms with stunning views, large comfy beds and good aircon, nice pool (if you need that) and a good private beach in a walking distance. The only real (small) disadvantage: the hotel is located on the outskirts of Ein Bokek and the architect was so clever to build the entrance (car-optimized) on the back side of the building, which on the other hand maximizes the dayly way on foot to the beaches(es) and the "center" with the shopping malls.

Excellent”
I have booked a small holiday for my friend and I. As we are a student who lives in Europe but our nationality is Israeli we do speak the language. I have been using Agoda for a while now and perfectly satisfied with their service. My total price for this holiday was generous and logic but as I reached the hotel It was noted to me that I must pay the VAT fees or go home. I have looked at my booking and saw that the total price was as they said without VAT. I do feel as I have been misled to this generous price. I have been viewing my perniciously booking and booking confirmation to see that the VAT was stated brightly and formally in many other countries all over the world but yet to this hotel was not stated or informed as proper. In addition, as I confirmed the reservation I have spoken to the hotel about my reservation and received no information or warning about the matter. This unfortunate and misconception of the reservation forced us to change our plans due to money issue.

Excellent”
The place is beautiful and has great amenities but is terribly managed. There was insufficient staffing everywhere-- at the front desk in particular, where there were always lines and the waits could be 20 minutes to see someone. When I arrived, 30 minutes after check in time, my room was not ready. I waited on a long line to hear this. I was told I'd be sms'd when it was ready, and I was, but then had to wait on line again to get the room key. The pool closes at 5pm-- which is crazy to begin with, but with all the delays, I had only 1/2 hour in it. The check in person did not tell me to leave my credit card info so when I wished to get a massage and charge it to the room/ my card -- I had to go back on front desk line to arrange this. Just not organized. The room was beautiful but did not have a full complement of towels-- this, after I waited because it was not ready at check in time. I heard many other guests complaining of similar issues. The place is not well run. It was not the staff's fault, they were well meaning and beleaguered. It was a failure of good management. Because I got a good deal through Agoda I have given it the rating I did. Anyone paying regular rates would not rate it well for value for money.

Exceptional”
It's a wonderful, beautiful place. The staff and amenities were excellent. The one important drawback is the late admission to the room. This is not the first time I've been to this hotel and it was the same problem both times. The announced room availability for check in is 3PM. I did not get my key until after 4 PM, and I was not the only one delayed like this; another couple did not get their room till 5PM. Since, in the best of circumstances, a half day is cut off from one's hotel time-- check out at 11 AM-- being delayed for check in, when the pool is only open till 4:45, is not right and not acceptable. When I complained that it was well after 3 PM, I was told that check in is FROM 3PM, not at 3PM-- such mind games are not acceptable. There is also not enough staff at the front desk so there are lines for any service needed from there. Both these points needs serious correction.

Big hotel with nice pools”
We stayed for 1 night at the hotel. The hotel is 15 years old and is in need of a face lift. The door to our room didn't work. 4 times we called house keeping over 5 hours and they said they would fix it but they never did. They did give us a key to the room after I requested a new room. The shower leaked as it was an old room. The staff looked like they didn't like working for the hotel. There is nothing to do at the Dead Sea except swim in the water.

Good”
Let s be honest, hotel is very good. Location is ok, not beach front but 200m from ein bobek beach. Rooms are spacious, clean and view is really nice. Staff is ok not really helpfull and friendly but country standard. However, important issue attention thé restaurant for dinner. No price displayed, the lady attention the entrance didn't know the price either... A man came and tell me because we were 7 he can offer a very good price and offer one drink. Then came the moment to pay, only cash! Otherwise it s double price (about 50euros for a buffet!!). 30min of time lost to discuss with restaurant staff, hotel staff and manager. Conclusion : hotel is nice but try to dump on client. There s a lot of other good hotel around here so avoid this one

Relaxing”
Spa pools were great, not crowded at all. Room was comfortable with big balcony. Grounds are beautiful. Staff makes a lot of effort to please. Dining room staff always busy working hard cleaning tables. It would have been nice to have the ability to make coffee or tea in the room.

Nice hotel but need better room cleaning”
Got a room with dirty toilet and after four hours the reception kindly agreed to give us a different room ( couldn't send and cleaning stuff....), other then that the room is spacious with king size bad and dead sea view. hotel facilities are o.k and the breakfast was moderate. in overall in fine for the value but other hotel in the area are better!

Crazy busy and zero service ”
This hotel can accommodate close to 2000 guests. The staff are overwhelmed by the shear numbers of transient visitors. They couldn't care less about the individual because there are simply too many people in and out on a daily, weekly, monthly yearly basis. I felt like I needed a holiday after the stressful experience of staying in this hotel. Breakfast is a survival of the fittest experience: queuing up to enter, to get a table, to get food, and forget getting waiter attention. Getting in an elevator is also fraught with difficulties - hordes of people trying to get on, pushing to get in, then stopping at every floor with more people trying to aqueeze in. On a brighter side: the staff in the spa were friendly. I had a 50mins remedial massage and it was heavenly. Forget catching shuttle bus to Dead Sea ... its a short 5 minute walk. During summer get there by 7am or 8am. Its too hot during midday hours. And by the afternoon it's like getting into a cup of hot coffee. For an overseas traveller the pool is quite an experience with music blaring and entertainment of dance and song competitions between families. The accommodation was clean but old. It was a cheaper rate than other hotels, so my experience was to be expected.

quality of service”
from the site of Agoda, the hotel did not receive information that we come with a small child. low quality cleaning (there are traces of spilled drinks on the balcony floor, a thick layer of black dust on the phone). The shower door does not close, the faucet in the bathroom does not work, only the watering can. There is no bottled water in the room. The phone does not work well, so tomorrow morning at the reception desk I will ask these questions to the staff.

Worst hotel staff in 50-years old world travel.”
In all of our 50 years of international travel, we have never experienced the rudeness and general inefficiency of the entire staff. From the non-existent bell staff, to the desk, waiters and even the janitors, we were dismissed as if we didn't exist. If this is David hospitality, I prefer to stay home.
