“False advertising ”
The official website for this location clearly shows “free parking” as one of the amenities. There is no disclaimer, fine print or additional information. The booking site does not indicate a parking fee. Once you check in, however, you are notified about a $20/day parking fee. I told them the website showed free parking. The lady at the reception desk, who worked there on a Friday early evening and had long nails, told me to contact the manager by email to dispute the charge. I asked for the receptionist’s name but her attitude was terrible. I emailed the manager but received no response so followed up after a week. Still no response. Very rude. The $100 deposit was kept for one week after check out which is unprecedented in my experience. Usually it’s refunded back in 1-2 days at most other places. The room smelled vaguely of smoke even though it’s non-smoking. The facility is very old and is in dire need of repairs/upgrades. At least everything in the room was functional. The microwave was not plugged in for some reason, it seems they ran out of outlets. Luckily I didn’t need to use it. The water pressure was surprisingly good. It was generally clean except the bedding had a small brown stain which I noticed the next morning. The AC was too cold so I turned it off. There seems to be no way to make the room warmer - it was cold throughout my stay there even after turning off the AC. The breakfast box with Danish, a small drinkable yogurt, small tangerine, and a drink was as expected based on previous reviews. You need to request the box by 9am the morning of. If I’d known of the parking fee I would not have stayed here. The planes flying overhead are extremely loud and the sound insulation is poor. You can hear everything that goes on above and next to you. There are better places that do not cost substantially more.
