"Great hostel in a good location. Just a 10 min walk to the central Berlin train station, where there are many shops, a small supermarket and restaurants. Good connectivity from the Berlin Hbf to the rest of Berlin and for travelling to other areas e.g. Potsdam, Dresden, Cologne."

Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz
Mitte,Berlin - View on map
"Located at, or rather in Alexanderplatz, which is the real happening lace in Berlin, with the bus stop, the underground, tram and taxi stand just outside the hotel, Park Inn is a very well located hotel. All the historical monuments can be accessed by the hop-on hop-off bus, which is only €15 per head. Taxis are very reasonable with an airport trip costing €30. The rooms are a bit small, but very clean and most comfortable. The only deficincy is the lack of tea/coffee self service in the room. I would go down the Burger King and get coffee for my wife in the morning. That, however, was not really a problem as Burger King is in the hotel. The elevators are high speed and covered the 28 floors in 30 seconds. The breakfast was a very large, sptious spread consisting of A huge variety of breads, cheeses, eggs, cold cuts, juices, tea and coffee and fruits. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this East Berlin hotel to anybody. And, I will definitely stay th"

"we stayed only for 1 night but i will use that hotel again if i would come to berlin privatly. it is almost in the center of the city, well comunicated with subway or busses, thera are a lots of shops or restaurants arround, the are 2 big parkings just 50 m from hotel, it is easy and quick to get there, however it is not easy to find hotel building on the street - hotel is just on the top 2 levels of standard building."

Maritim proArte Hotel Berlin

"We have stayed for two nights in May 2012. The room was on the 8th floor. No street noise at all. Room was clean all the time. Great services. We have not booked breakfast (40 euros per person). There are plenty of cafes around the area. We really liked Einstein's Cafe (5 mins walking). The location can't be better. Walking distance to all major attractions. We will book again if return to Berlin. Recommend to everyone. "

"I stopped once in A/O in Cologne, and it was very nice. However, I didn't realize that in Berlin it will be different story. Since it is probably one of the cheapest hotels in Berlin, the public that books this hotel is corresponding: the horny noisy teenagers are being constantly unloaded by the buses, and they produce incredible amount of noise, especially in the night. Ear plugs or headphones is a must, but even then the walls/floor are shaking, because people are running, dancing, having sex - you name it. They also smoke right outside, so the smoke goes in easily. Never again! In Cologne, however, the same hotel was very good (or I was lucky)..."

City Hotel Berlin East
Lichtenberg,Berlin - View on map
"First of all, think of what you want from Berlin. If you are mainly in the Eastern part, it is only 20 minutes per tram to Alexanderplatz and 20 min. to Simon-Dach-Kiez to another direction, so very good for that, and the trams run frequently. It is also a pretty nice walk towards Frankfurter Allee. Personnel was really nice - all points to them! Breakfast was really really good, wide choice of anything you would desire. With the newspaper that was my every day fun for about an hour at time ;) as I was on holiday with no rush! The only thing I was hoping for more, are the beds- it was okay, but could be a bit better in softness as this was a bit rough. Maybe these are the renovation-goal - hopefully at least! I loved the atmosphere in the room, nice pics from DDR and some of the east-flair. Very convenient. Will probably be back here!"

Hotel AMANO Grand Central
Mitte,Berlin - View on map
"I have just returned from a 3-night stay at the Hotel AMANO Grand Central and found it to be a great hotel. Firstly, in my opinion, the location is ideal, as it is a 2 minute walk from the Berlin Hauptbahnhof station (Europlatz side) and also close to the TXL bus stops to take you to and from Tegel airport. With regard to sight seeing, you simply need to walk through the train station to Washingtonplatz side and you are just a 10 minute walk to Reichstag and then onto Brandenburg Gate/Unter del Linden and other great sights in this magnificent and historical city. The hotel itself is very new with modern rooms (nicely appointed) and friendly/professional staff. I had requested a quiet room during reservations and this was duly followed upon check-in (I had a lovely room facing courtyard). I did not include the breakfast with my stay; however, the staff were able to provide me with a kettle, so I could have morning tea (this was very appreciated!). The one small complaint is that the bathroom doors are "self closing"; therefore, they tend to slam shut unless you have a door stop. Hence, you tend to hear and feel the reverberations of your neighbours' bathroom doors slamming shut. I did bring this up to front desk and was informed that the design is intentional for 'air flow' reasons. The front desk were concerned and offered a breakfast as compensation for the disruptions; however, I had a very early morning flight on day of my checkout, so could not partake in this kind offer. I was very impressed by the front desk's professionalism in listening to my feedback. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Berlin (either for business or pleasure reasons) and hope to return to further discover this wonderful city."

"I was going to Berlin for seminar and found this hotel very close to train station (Ostkreuz bhf). The station is a crossing to many destination in Berlin. To Alexanderplatz only took around 10 minutes. Walking from Ostkreuz to a&o also easy because there is sign of the hotel. Around hotel you can meet many restaurants as well as grocery stores. All in all I am very happy to stay there. Room also warm thanks to good heating. The minus only that you cant have elevator and need to drag you own suitcase. "

NH Collection Berlin Mitte am Checkpoint Charlie

"This was a last second booking as I chose to leave Munich a day early and head to Berlin. My other hotel wouldn't be available until the next day and I didn't want to pay top dollar for a quick 16 hour stay. I found this on my phone and decided to chance it as the price was quite affordable. When I first arrived in the hotel I was shocked by how nice the lobby was. This was at least a 4 star hotel. They quickly checked me in and brought me to a clean room with nice linens and zippy free wifi. I then went downstairs and they helped me find something to do for the night. The staff and the facilities are all very nice. I only gave the food a 4 because I didn't actually eat in the hotel but the restaurant they suggested was fantastic. It's a little Thai spot down the street, do it. I would absolutely recommend this facility for anyone interested. "
