Excellent! Our best stay in Thailand”
This part of island Koh Phangang actually seems to be the best part of the whole island. Very kind and helpful staff. Breakfasts are excellent. You have everything, almost like in 4* hotel. Clean rooms with fresh water every day. The pool was also everytime clean. Definitely would come back again.

Great stay in Paradise”
Prefect place to stay on Koh Phangan if you seek relaxation. Rooms are spacious and very clean. The same goes for the pool. All staff are very friendly, helpful and do their best to ensure you have a great time. The food in the restaurant directly on the beach is delicious too.

We arrived to a freshly reopen hotel eager to attend guests to the best of their abilities. Every one was very polite and courteous. Facilities are open and the beach is pristine. Definitely worth the stay.

Beautiful grounds + beach”
This hotel had a wonderful location on beautiful Thong Nai Pan Yai beach. The pool was nice but can get busy with families with children during the peak holiday season. The restaurant served Indian food and the hotel rooms were clean. The hotel grounds were full of lush, tropical plants. Transfer to/from the ferry was prompt and staff were very pleasant and friendly. Would stay here again!

Thank you very much for choosing Havana Beach Resort during your stay on the island of Koh Phangan and for your incredible feedback. Hope to welcome you back in the future. Noe Noe & Havana Beach Resort Team
Koh Phangan was a really laid back place”
Havana Beach Resort (a strange name it is) is located at a very chill out beach of Koh Phangan. Its a short walking distance from a small village (either on a road or at the beach) that makes it quite secluded without being remote. It takes a while to get to this beach (Thong Nai Pan Ya) from the ferry stations but the cool atmosphere of the sandy beach and the lack of tourist hordes does make it worthwhile. On the other hand if you look for a place for parties than you should probably look elsewhere...

Beautiful Location”
Havana Beach Resort is on on Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach. This is a very beautiful beach, although in quite a remote part of Koh Phangan - about 20-30 mins drive over some unsealed, some concrete roads from the main town. If you are looking for really festive nightlife, this is probably not the resort for you. We were the only English speaking people staying in the resort, the rest seemed to be mainly Danish/Dutch/German. The rooms were very nice with a nice balcony, although it would have been nice to have comfortable chairs to sit on on the balcony rather than the wooden stools. Breakfast was average. Pool very nice. Would be good if they put some sunbeds out on the beach in front of the resort like they do at Dreamland. Not enough sunbeds.

fantastic hotel”
a great little hotel ,right on the beach at thong noi pan yai, the rooms were very clean and the pool was brilliant , but the best was the location ! right on one of the best beaches you could lay eyes on , ideal for all ages including children , the hotel was very welcoming and yet still respected your privacy , rooms were clean every day and the staff were brilliant .

If you are looking for quiet, this is the place.”
We stayed at Havana Beach Resort for 5 nights. The staff is awesome, very friendly, they really go out of their way to help you. They have a nice breakfast selection. We had several meals at the hotel, no complaints. Nice BBQ in the evenings. There are stairs to get to most of the rooms and to go down to breakfast and the beach, which may be a problem for some people. Wifi didn't work as well as some other places we stayed in, but worked good enough. Our room was nice, but next time I would book one of the rooms that has the tub/shower combo. It's an open shower in the bathroom, so the whole floor, toilet etc. gets wet. My only real complaint is our room had a really musty odor, other than that we really enjoyed our stay. Musty smell Shower wifi

Best place so far!”
Located in a peaceful little town w/ good restaurants & local 7-Eleven. Beautiful beach for walking & swimming. Mostly couples, retired people, & young families; not a big party scene so perfect for us. The entire Resort was very clean & I have high standards. Everyday they cleaned our room & gave us fresh room & beach towels; a great bonus. Breakfast was very good & we enjoyed eating right at the beach. The staff is friendly & helpful. The gardens made for an idyllic environment when not at the beach. Our only regret is not staying longer as nowhere else we have found this far has compared. Both the little town & the lovely accommodation were just what we were looking for. The only constructive criticism that I have is that the Restaurant/Bar prices are extremely overpriced especially since you can go to the town a five-minute walk away & have delicious food for 1/5 the price. And since it is remote it is a bit pricey getting to & from by taxi. Otherwise I wouldn't change a thing.

Beautiful hotel on a tranquil beach”
Wow wow wow....can't say enough good things about this place. The beach is just unbelievable. Clear waters, gorgeous sand, and above all it's quiet. If u r looking for a party beach, this is not the place for u. If u want to relax and get away from all the rowdy youngsters, this beach is perfect. Staff: all were great, and spoke decent English. chai, who seemed like head waiter, was one of the friendliest guys I ever met. Very welcoming and ready to help u out. I didn't even have to ask and he pointed me to the few bars open at night. The managers were great too, and work the restaurant when it's busy. That's what u want to see, management on the floor and not sitting in an office counting money. There was one night where my lady friend and I were drunk and could barely walk back. Along comes a motorbike and it's one of the managers. He gladly offers us a ride back to the resort. HE SAVED us from a 20 minute walk that should have really been 5 minutes (when sober). Now the hotel itself. Great interior and exterior decorations and decor. I love wood decorations and the whole resort had an earthy feel. Great pool for cooling down and chilling in the sun ( lots of chairs). Restaurant on the beach and u can eat 10 ft from the tide, such an unbelievable view. I will never forget my first meal in that beach. The breakfast was good too. fresh Egg station with two people working it, potatoes or rice, bacon, ham, sausages, fruit, juice, pancakes, French toast, cereals, yogurt, fresh toast and salad. It's buffet style, but is one of the better free breakfasts I've had in Thailand. Definitely a key feature. There are beach recliners for hotel guests as well. Just ask the staff. All in all one of the best hotels I ever stayed at. It does cost a bit more than what u can find in Thailand, but it was worth every dollar/baht. If u r looking for a family getaway, or a romantic adventure, this is the spot.

nice hotel at fantastic location”
we were very happy with our stay at the havana hotel. The rooms and the hotel terrain arent the newest and look a little rundown here and there, but all in all the complex is cared for, clean, the rooms are fine aswell. the bathrooms should be renewed, but having seen other hotels on the same beach, havana seems to be the best. the pool is nice, although the water in it gets too warm when the sun shines on it all day. still very enjoyable in the mornings though. the food at the restaurant is superb, although when there are few visitors there is no buffet breakfast and also most of the dishes from the indian menu were unavailable when we visited. Didnt matter though, cause what was there was delicious. the beach infront of the hotel is magnificient. we were travelling with a baby and thought this was the perfect place. white, powdery sand, clean turquoise water, shady places under the palms and a very childfriendly resort with toys for kids etc located about 200m down the beach.

A real success on the best beach in Koh Phangan”
Lovely hotel on the same shore of a wonderful and very calm beach with warm and transparent waters. The small bay is at the foot of the jungle upholstered mountains that descend to the shore.A true paradise. The resort is composed of tropical bungalows, Deliberately rustic in appearance, the rooms are very spacious and have all the comforts, air conditioning, minibar, full and spacious bathroom,TV,verandah, complimentary water bottles, etc. The pool is large and has direct access to the beach. The staff is very friendly, always with a smile, ready to solve any problem or need. The buffet breakfast is served in front of the sea and is varied, pad tai is among the best we tried in Thailand. The restaurant is a jewel: bamboo tables and armchairs directly on the fine sand of the beach, you can have dinner barefoot!and in the evening they cook delicious local fish on a barbecue on the sand (greta red snapper and King prawns).Marvelous days.

Great family run resort!!”
From the moment we were picked up from the port we were made to feel welcome!! Where picked up by the owners son who spoke good English and made us feel very welcome!! The resort is in the far north east of the island but if you would like a quiet get away with a stretch of beach with a good selection of beach restaurants then this hotel is ideal for you!! At the time of our stay the internet and cable on the island had stopped working which caused us concern because we needed to book future accomodation...when we spoke to staff they allowed us to use there mobiles free of charge and also browse the internet on there mobile so that we could get phone numbers of future accomodation!! Room was clean and modern...bathroom was especially nice!! Nice pool located on the resort also!! Would advise people to stay here!!

Nice hotel at nice location but not perfect”
Positive points: - The resort is very nice and green, nice pool, directly at the marvellous white beach. - The restaurant is very good. Although there are a lot of alternatives on the beach, we very often decided to have dinner here. The price might be a bit higher, but the quality is too and the choice is also large because of the Indian specialties and the fresh seafood BBQ. Also the breakfast at the beachfront is very nice. - The deluxe room is spacious and the veranda/balcony is also quite large. - Almost all of the staff are really friendly and helpful. They are even cleaning the beach every morning. Negative points: - The rooms seem a bit aged and smell a bit mouldy if the doors are closed for several hours. Besides we were suprised to see that the double bed in the deluxe room is smaller than the bed in the standard room! - The bathroom is quite dark, not much space to put toiletry and the tiny window is not openable. Everything is quite basic, we expected more for the price of the deluxe room. - Too few sun-beds at the pool, because nobody was really enforcing the "no reservation using towels" policy. This is a problem at some time of the day when there is not much shadow at the beach and one doesn't want to lay in the sun all the time. Without "reserved" sunbeds it would already be better. - One of the receptionists was not very friendly.

Reasonable mid-range hotel”
Havana is a reasonable mid-range hotel. The pool is nice and we really enjoyed the Indian food served at the restaurant. We were first put in a ground floor room that smelt a bit mouldy and were then offered a similar ground floor room, also damp. We were then offered a first floor room, which was fine, without any much fuss. Be aware that, although the beach is nice, this part of Koh Phangan is pretty quite with not many restaurants nearby so you need to hire a moped or take expensive taxis to get anywhere. I'd have to say that the staff at this place didn't seem particularly happy, though I would stay there again.

Hotel staff very nice and friendly and beautiful l”
The Havana beach resort is very nice. In other reviews they mentioned the awful receptionist. She is gone and a super nice one is there now. Also, the manager is very nice and helpful. The massage, pool and beach bar are very nice and also the room. We went during the coup and so there were only 4 people in the entire hotel. The place was a little to quiet for us and it is really isolated with no banks etc. The food is very bland but the place is very nice.
