Did you find this review summary helpful?
Another thing you need to know before staying in the hotel is the occupancy tax paid to Paris, which I've never heard of before. Aside from the hotel room charge of 8 euros per person per day, that's what left me rather unimpressed. My recent stay at a charmingly Parisian-style hotel left me with mixed impressions. While the staff was consistently friendly and helpful, exceeding all expectations, a crucial aspect was sadly lacking: accessibility for guests with wheelchairs. The absence of wheelchair-accessible entrances for both the hotel and elevator was a significant drawback. This should be addressed as a priority to ensure equal access for all guests. Room: The room itself exceeded my expectations based on previous reviews I'd read. It was small but nice and clean but this is enough for 2 people. The mattress offered excellent comfort, with a plush design that cradled the body. However, the pillows lacked supportive firmness and could be improved for optimal sleep quality. The inclusion of L'Occitane toiletries was a welcomed touch. While noise from neighboring rooms wasn't excessive, earplugs might be helpful for light sleepers. The morning cleaning staff worked diligently, but the sound of the vacuum cleaner could be disruptive. The view from my room was not remarkable, facing another building, but this likely wouldn't be a major concern for most guests given the limited time typically spent in the room. Bathroom: The bathroom was well-maintained and clean, but lacked an exhaust fan, which could be inconvenient for some guests. Additionally, a shower curtain or glass divider would prevent water spillage and improve functionality. Surroundings: During my stay, there was construction work occurring next door, resulting in early morning noise. The hotel itself is located in a small alleyway off the main road, which wasn't a problem for me but might be unexpected for some. There were homeless individuals residing near the entrance, but they posed no threat to guests. The location itself proved very convenient, with the subway station directly in front of the hotel and numerous restaurants and bars within walking distance. Overall: Despite the accessibility limitations and minor issues in the room and bathroom, I found the hotel's overall charm, friendly staff, and convenient location to be very positive aspects. If a five-star experience isn't your main priority, this hotel could be a suitable alternative, especially for those who value a unique and well-connected location.
Dear Blueskies, Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience in our hotel. We are happy to learn that you enjoyed your stay overall and especially appreciated the service of the staff and the hotel location in the pulse of the City. About the accessibility, we have one room accessible for wheelchair and located on the ground floor. It is a nice and large room of 27 sqm that can accommodate up to 3 persons. As you know, security and accessibility are strictly controlled by French authorities and we have passed successfully all the controls. Thank you for your comments about the pillows. Thanks to you, we will replace all the pillows by new ones. We hope to have the chance to welcome you again to show you this improvement. Best regards, Lucas CLARISSE Hotel Manager
This was the second time that I stayed in Hotel Prelude Opera. The receptionist was really polite and helpful. His hospitality made me feel at home. The rooms are large enough, clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was a bit on the small side. The breakfast was fine. More than a typical French breakfast. For example, there was salmon, different kinds of cheeses, muffins, pancakes, yogurt with cereal etc. And the location, fantastic! Quiet because on a side street of a major street with plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and a fine creperie around the corner. The area is bustling. In addition, all major attractions are within walking distance. The Louvre, Sacre Coeur, Galerie Lafayette etc. Are all walkable.
Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. We are delighted to read that you have appreciated your experience. We hope to have the great pleasure of welcoming you again during your next trip to Paris. Best regards, Lucas CLARISSE Hotel Manager
This hotel is located in a place like an alley in a bustling area, close to the Opéra Garnier. Many major tourist attractions, such as the Louvre Museum, are within walking distance, making it a very convenient location. Since I stayed during the summer, it was still bright outside even late at night, and I did not feel any sense of insecurity. The hotel had stylish interiors, was well cleaned, and I was able to spend my time comfortably. The lack of a shower door and amenities like slippers is likely common in France, but it was a bit inconvenient. The staff at the front desk were very kind and communicated in English.
Dear Mr Fumiko, Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed our quiet yet central location near the Palais Garnier, and that you were able to explore Paris comfortably on foot. It's also a pleasure to know you appreciated the stylish atmosphere and the cleanliness of the hotel, as well as the kindness of our front desk team. We understand your comments about the shower design and slippers — while these are indeed common features in many French hotels, we truly appreciate the feedback and will keep it in mind for future improvements. It was a pleasure to welcome you, and we hope to see you again soon on your next visit to Paris. Warm regards, Lucas CLARISSE Hotel Manager
The hotel was very cute, clean, and just like the pictures. The elevator is small, but there are many elevators in Paris that are even smaller, so there is space for two people with a large suitcase. Drinks are free and can be brought into the room. The staff was friendly and it was great. If I had to say something negative, walking from the opera is a bit far. The nearest station is two stops away from the opera, so it's close to the hotel from that station!
Thank you for your kind and detailed review! We're thrilled you appreciated the charm and cleanliness of our hotel, as well as the complimentary drinks and friendly staff. While our location offers a peaceful retreat, we understand that the walk from the Opera might feel a bit longer. We're glad our proximity to the nearby station made getting around easier. We hope to welcome you back for another enjoyable stay in Paris! Lucas CLARISSE Hotel Manager

“Very good, would stay again”
I stayed for two nights for a work trip- the rooms are an adequate size and have pretty much everything you need for a comfortable trip. The Juliette balcony in my room was also a nice addition. Nice shower and controllable air con, good hair dryer. The only thing missing is a mini fridge which would've been nice. The location is fantastic and i basically walked everywhere, it's also off a main road so you're not kept up by traffic. The thing that really set it apart was how fantastic the staff were- they went out of their way to help me on numerous occasions. Particularly as i was leaving -the zip on my suitcase broke and the staff were all helping me to put it back together so i could travel home. Would definitely stay again.
Dear Alice, Thank you for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us during your work trip. It's great to know that you found the room comfortable and appreciated the the room equipment such as the shower and the controllable air conditioning. Indeed, we don't have mini fridge in the rooms but the reception is at our disposal to keep your items fresh in our fridge. We are also pleased that our central location between the Louvre Museum, the Opera Garnier and Montmartre, allowed you to easily explore the city. What truly warms our hearts is your kind words about our staff. We strive to provide exceptional service, and we are thrilled that our team was able to assist you, especially with your suitcase issue. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to Paris! Best regards, Lucas CLARISSE Hotel Manager
