"Very conveniently located - direct train to and from airport without needing to change lines. Only 5-10 mins walk to Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori. Only 3 mins away from Kuromon market and one of the biggest high end department store Takashimaya 高島屋. Plenty of restaurants nearby and close to a couple of stations which give you access to train lines going almost anywhere. Rooms are tiny but sufficient for one big suitcase and comfortable and very clean. Our room had a nice view. Amenities are adequate. Shower was great too. Staff were very helpful with restaurant bookings (note you cannot ask them to help make the reservations prior to arrival). Staff were quite proficient in English. They are efficient in replying emails if you have any question before arrival. Buffet breakfast is standard Japanese style breakfast - mix of traditional and western food. If you need to check in early, it costs 5000yen per room, costs less if closer to check in time. "

"Unfortunately we weren't able to book the basic adjacent beds (we were not able to maximize the TV and computer since we were tired from all the trips we did in Osaka), but nonetheless the idea is excellent. Although we had to bring up the luggage by ourselves to third floor, the facilities are excellent and the book were cool! I was able to find English version of my favorite manga and it's so nice reading it while eating Japanese cheesecake. We were also not able to maximize the library, so if you have a chill schedule, this is definitely one of the best places to stay."

"DO NOT CONFUSE THIS HOTEL WITH SOTETSU FRESA OSAKA NAMBA HOTEL. This hotel is SOTETSU GRAND FRESA OSAKA NAMBA. We did and went in circles trying to find it. This hotel was right by Dotonbori, major tourist area. I would have preferred a hotel in a more central non-touristy location. Close to train station. This hotel is very big and a lot of business people stay here. Hotel provides extra travel size packets of facial products. Facilities was good. We did our laundry here, which was very convenient. Staff was nice and helpful. Many eating options in the area."

"Frequent visitor to Osaka & this the hostel is going to be my default go-to from now on: The place is located 3mins walk from Namba exit 25 (stairs), if you have heavy luggage just get the elevator exit 15B from across the road. there's a 7-11 right next to it; Within 10mins walking from SSB and DTB for shopping and food; 3mins from a 24h Don quijote. 10/10 location my dudes. Everything new and tidy, its shoes-off policy makes for a clean hotel environment, and the female dorm is well organized with separate toilet and make-up area stocked with everything from cleanser, toner, toothbrushes, razors and Qtips. also comes with a pajama set and towels. You could literally roll in with just your wallet and underwear. Bath: A free JP sento experience right there. Free saunas and huge hot bath esp amazing after a long day sightseeing/ in the cold. You have your own flat screen TV in your capsule! Guests seems to be mainly locals who are clean, polite and quiet. Lovely lovely place."

"Excellent value for money. Maybe the room was a little cramped but I was expecting it, so I wasn't disappointed. Checked photos of the rooms online before booking, so we were ready. (Bumped my elbows in the bathroom way too many times though. And I'm a short person with short limbs.) FREE BREAKFAST! Just some bread and hard boiled eggs and potato salad. With coffee or juice. It's simple but any type of free breakfast in a budget hotel scores high for me. 1 million stars for the location. 5 mins to Namba-Nankai station. Average of 10-min walk to places like DenDen Town, Amerikamura, Dotonbori, Kuromon Ichiba, Shinsaibashi and the underground Namba Walk which connects the major train stations. Staff were great from booking to check-out. When I booked through Agoda, I wanted to make sure my reservation was secure so I used the chat window in the official Hotel Nissei website. Wasn't really expecting anyone to be online but a staff person was, and she answered all my questions and confirmed my reservation. She also sent an email confirmation and map going to the hotel from the Namba-Nankai station. Pretty awesome hotel all-around. Will definitely be my first choice when I go back to Osaka. "
