One of my family's favorite places in Da Nang. If I get the chance, I would still like to return next time. The dishes, from Western to Asian, from breakfast to dinner, are all very rich and delicious. The staff always try their best to meet our needs. It is best to go on days with nice weather like summer; unfortunately, on days with low pressure and rain, not being able to participate in outdoor activities is the most regrettable thing about this trip.

If you come to Da Nang, you must stay at this resort. I come with my friends and come with my family. It's always a place where I feel so healed every time I come. This time I came with my mom, but I was almost disappointed!! I waited a bit, but I liked the kind and appropriate response. So this time I had a good time at the resort again. Nestled in Son Tra mountain, the resort was a perfect and tranquil retreat. It takes approximately 15min by car down the mountain to the nearest restaurant or amenities outside the hotel. The service was top-notch from check-in to check-out; attentive yet nonintrusive. Facilities and activities were in abundance with something for everyone. The pool and beach were well-fitted with plenty of sun-loungers. Breakfast was also a highlight with a range of local to international offerings. The restaurant was so comfortable that we enjoyed lounging around after eating. Overall, a wonderful experience with Intercontinental despite the hefty price tag. A treat within a retreat.

The experience in Intercontinental Danang has been amazing. We stayed in the Heaven level and it’s really like living in the heaven. Though the location is back in a mountain, it only takes around 30 minutes from the city centre. The whole resort is huge while there are cable car and electricity car around to serve as the commute. We’ve tried the restaurant of Citron and Barefoot, both are in good taste and good service. Barefoot is more in Western style which is closes to the beach at the ground level. Citron is another one with spectacular view and more in Vietnamese style. There are various choices of the breakfast buffet. Hung, a helpful staff in the resort tours us around. We had balcony and he alerts us that there will be monkeys around and reminds us to lock the door twice. We really saw 2 monkeys walking along out Balcony in the morning. And the room itself is grand and amazing. All served in good quality. It was wintertime in Jan in Danang, we didn’t get into the normal pool, but we tried the warm one with 27’C. Service are so good and we also want to thank the staff Dom. It really worths a stay in Intercontinental Danang. Staying in the place where you can enjoy a lot.

“Excellent hardware, but service under par”
We were disappointed several times during our stay. The arrival experience was terrible. It had been inconvenient to wait for pick up under the hot weather at the foot of the mountain due to the road closure. But we finally had to wait for the next bus because the duty manager did not coordinate well such that we witnessed the shuttle bus passed by without any intention to stop at the waiting area. There was no signage there and the other duty manager did not wear any uniform with hotel name/logo. It had been unreasonable for a 5-star hotel requiring guests to wait for the bus in regular schedule instead of by appointment. What if the bus was full during peak hours? Upon arrival, the duty manager was there to apologize and told us to wait 'inside' (the balcony area). While the seating area was fully occupied and we were afraid that the staff could not find us if we walked far, we stood there to wait for the staff to help with the check in procedure. After one minute, a staff holding an iPad came to tell us settle the payment. I immediately told her we had made the booking through agoda and paid already. She scrolled down the bill in the iPad, showed us the content and explained to us that the room rate was paid but there was other spending. I hence took a look and noted that this over 4 million VND bill was not mine. It was so careless for the staff to leak guests' personal data this way. We further stood for about 5-10 more minutes for another staff to help us with the check in procedure. The staff came with a tray offering us towels and welcome drinks but had no intention to guide us to any seating area. Did she expect us keep standing there, holding our belongings in on hand, hold the drink in another hand and could still hand in the travel documents, read and sign everything? It was definitely not the 5-star hotel reception service. After the storm, the road block and shuttle bus service was terminated and the weather looked nice. But the boat fishing and kayaking activities (windsurfing and body boarding were available though) were not available due to safety reasons. We finally joined the DIY nail workshop. The staff demonstrated the skills on my little finger nail but I noted that it was over-polished when it was broken and sensitive to the temperature of water during shower at night. The pain sustained for more than a week and the nail was fragile and broke whenever it grew within the month. In fact, we loved the architecture and environment of the resort. Most staff were nice and friendly, especially the one who introduced the room, facilities, services and activities to us (miss Nuong?), the staff in the Long Bar and the staff in the M Rouge(Miss Linh) etc. The room was also clean and we loved the lemongrass scent in it. However, the above mentioned terrible experience imposed a negative impression and unpleasant experience on our stay.
