Location was perfect - just a few steps away from ban thanh market. Do note there is a flight of stairs to reach the hotel entrance. Staff were always very helpful to take our luggage or help us look out for our grab car. My only gripe was the cleaning lady who cleaned away all our disposable toothbrushes that we had brought (and used) and had left at the basin area. Was the first time any hotel did that. Room wise I got a nice big room for 4 pax. Beds were comfortable. Hair dryer slippers fridge and kettle were provided. 4 bottles of drinking water were replenished each morning. Not much facilities but breakfast provided each morning and the menu changed every 2 days. Not a wide range but was delicious. Overall was a good stay given the price paid
To summarize my experience, I enjoyed my stay and would book again when I go back to HCMC. I also recommended it to my family and friends. Location: It's just infront of Ben Thanh Market. You will not go hungry since restaurants surround the building and at night, there's a nice food vendor who sells com tam (grilled pork and rice meal) - I highly recommend that you try it. It's pretty good... as good or even better than a restaurant's. There's a Michellin star restaurant a few meters away (Bep Me In) - personally, I find it overrated. I've had better at Secret Garden at Calmette St. The French Bistro (Cocotte ) next to it is also better as well as the other Vietnamese Restaurant in that row. A few hundred meters, you can also reach Saigon Square on foot. Room: The room was clean and even if they don't use any room scents, it still smells fresh. The pillows and bed were comfortable. The shower and the toiled were separated so the toilet remains dry. The shower does not heat up well, but it's so hot in Ho Chi Minh, you'd want to have a cool shower. The rain shower and the telephone shower felt nice. They also have complimentary shampoo and shower gel. The toilet has a proper bidet. This is a plus to us Filipino travelers. Our rooms were cleaned everyday and they change our towels and toothbrushes everyday as well. I was surprised that the mess I left in my bed were all neatly folded on one side. I really appreciate that. If you don't want your room to be cleaned, just let them know. -I was at first hesitant to book on this hotel since a customer complained about the loud music outside but luckily, we did not encounter any loud and disruptive music during our stay. We requested to be on the quiet part of the building. -I think the hotel needs to change the photos of their shower doors. Another reason why I was hesitant to book this hotel at first is because I thought the shower doors were clear and will not provide any privacy. I had to take a hard look and watch a video by a quest to see that they at least frosted most of the glass. When I got into our room, I was pleasantly surprised that they already covered most of the glass. Breakfast: -The breakfast was good and has enough variety for you to try. -The breakfast attendants were pleasant and greets us with a smile. Facilities: -The internet was decent. -I was too busy to watch tv but I checked the tv guide and they have a lot of english channels. -They have a weighing scale that you can borrow just in case you went shopping. -They will only provide you 1 key card even if you there's 2 of you in the room. I don't know if you can request for another one at the reception. Reception: -The service is a bit inconsistent. Some were a bit helpful like when we arrived early and they let us leave our bags so we can go around but some are not as helpful but maybe it's just the language barrier. Staff: -The housekeeper was amazing at cleaning our room! -The doorman is awesome! He was so nice and so kind. I brought a heavy baggage and he carried it over a flight of stairs going to the reception. He was also helpful when I was trying to book my grab (He helped me get some coupons in the app). It's not customary, but please don't hesitate to give them tips.
Location-wise, this place is unbeatable—definitely a 10/10. It’s right in front of Ben Thanh Market, with a fantastic Cơm Tấm vendor just outside Avanti at night (I could honestly eat it for days!). I also love how close it is to major tourist spots, making it easy to pop back and forth to the hotel to freshen up. The staff are generally decent and give you space, though not all of them speak English. Cleanliness-wise, it was just fine. I didn’t request housekeeping during our weekend stay, but when we first arrived, everything was tidy and in good order. The room itself is clean, comfortable, and just right for us. The elevator is on the smaller side, but it works quickly, so you never end up waiting long to go up or down.
If you only happened to have a nice, clean, & comfy bed for sleep at night, then Avanti Hotel was the answer. I stayed for 3 days 2 nights in Family room for 3 adults and 1 child. Good value for money from my point of view for 3 stars hotel. Good standard breakfast, helpful staffs to bring up your luggage from the front door to the receptionist, because there was a stair from the in front of the hotel. Easy access to Ben Thanh Market and various restaurants, convenience store, etc. The room was clean, nice, the AC was cold, and yes, it didn't have any soundproof walls and windows, so we can hear a limit noise from outside the windows or the sound of people walked outside from our room or the next room.
