We really enjoyed our stay at the Novum Winters by Checkpoint Charlie. Absolutely great location, around 15-20 minutes walk to Brandenburg Gate, and even closer to Potsdammer Platz and metres away from Kreuzberg. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the only unusual bit was 2 separate duvets on a double bed. Loved Berlin anyway and would look up this hotel first before booking anywhere else.

Location was wonderful, just right off Checkpoint Charlie! Food options in the area were fantastic and cheap as it was somewhere between Mitte and Kreuzberg. Proximity to U-Bahn and buses made it easy to travel to other parts of Berlin. The hotel itself was very clean and very comfortable. However, the jacuzzi which we wanted to book was not functioning during our stay.

Value for money, that´s for sure. Location is excellent, quite near to Checkpoint Charlie, name of the hotel reveals that of course. U-bahn station Kochstrasse is nearby and lots of sights are in walking distance, like Gendarmenmarkt, Topography of terror and so on. Staff was little bit lazy, had to wait just till 3PM when checking in even the hotel was no way fully booked. The room must have been ready for some time but maybe it was fun for the staff just letting people wait? Did not matter much, I was on holiday and in no hurry. Hotel room was clean and quiet but hotel with four stars should have minibars in every room.

The hotel is located in Kreuzberg very close to Subwaystation "Schönleinstraße", surrounded by many small shops and fastfood stores making it a real good starting point for your Berlin exploration. Nice also the inhouse bikerental. The rooms are modernly furnished and newly renovated. Unfortunatly the cleanliness was only so-so. The hotel is at busy road, so ask for a backside room in summer or bring ear plugs. Otherwise the stay was good. The breakfast was simple but good also.

We selected this hotel because its fare was competitive, and we were very impressed by its design and interiors. Our room had adequate dimensions. We appreciated the appropriate storage areas as well as the safety-deposit box and the flat-screen TV with international programming. The shower was impressive, and the bathroom amenities were quite nice. Everything seemed new! All staff members were courteous and efficient. For sightseeing, location is not exactly the very best - but this property still offers relatively easy access to all tourist attractions. For future visits to Berlin, we will be happy to consider this hotel again.

I arrived super late and the night receptionist was friendly and efficient. The bathroom was surprisingly clean, and the showers better than at Generator. The room was respectable with a view over the boulevard and the linen was clean. Best of all for me was the free access computers, which were fast (as was the WiFi) and really helped me out a lot. Checkout is also 11:00am - 1 hour extra over most places now. There was also a popular common room and lockers. I paid virtually nothing since I got a dual promotion online, so on that basis the value was superb, and I'd recommend for those paying a sub-ten price.

We had a wonderful stay! When we made our booking, we had requested a smoking room with early check-in. Upon arriving at the hotel, reception staff promptly fulfilled our wishes. All staff members with whom we interacted were cheerful, efficient, and fluent in English. The hotel is modern and very well kept. Our standard room was truly spacious and comfortable (it even had a nice outdoor balcony). Storage areas exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed all the amenities - complimentary coffee and tea of high quality, large flat-screen TV with international programming, in-room safety-deposit box, and refrigerated mini-bar. The hotel has a pretty good location close to Friedrichstrasse. If you stay on a Sunday and arrive by car, chances are high that you will find free street parking just a few meters from the hotel (perhaps even right at the entrance if you are lucky). Because everything went so well, we will surely consider this property again if we return to Berlin!

We had a great stay at Berlin in this hotel. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was in a perfect location for our needs, within 5 min walks to S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations, and with some good restaurants nearby (we had dinner twice at the German restaurant across the road, and just loved it). The room was quite spacious compared to other European hotels we've stayed at, and also very clean. The breakfast buffet was also a standout. The only thing that did not make this hotel perfect was that free internet was only provided in the lobby, and not in the bedrooms; however, this was only a minor setback, as sitting in the lobby was very comfortable and we were allowed to unplug a lamp when we were running out of battery. In our opinion, this was one of the best value for money we've stayed at in Europe.

Quite central, very close to subway station (but only one line so makes getting to/from the station a bit more difficult as have to transfer to it). Half hour walk to Brandenburg Gate. Rooms are small. Bathroom is tiny - clean enough but could do with a coat of paint. Breakfast is great! Lots of choice and buffet style of cold meats, cheese, eggs, sausages and bread. Parking available onsite but if you do not reserve it first, they will charge you 5euros a day for it. I didn't see anywhere that you had to reserve it first during the booking bit might have missed something. Wifi is quite patchy and constantly drops in/out. Very cheap - excellent value for money.

Quite a disappointing Hotel, Firstly Agoda listed this as 4 start, it's not it's a 2 start. No fridge in the rooms, room cards keep cancelling meaning you always have to go to reception to have it recoded. Computers did not work in the reception. Expensive food and drink for a 2 star. Good points are, the hotel is in good location close to the underground and a few local sites. There is free parking on the street around 10mins away so do not bother paying the 17 euro a day fee.

The hostel is very clean and we got what we paid for. There's an elevator since the check-in desk is on the 3r floor. The staff was very kind and laid back. The only downside was that they were working in the room next to us and there was a school with young teenagers staying in the hostel which resulted in some noise overdose. We could have easily switched rooms but we were only staying 2 nights so. The location though is really amazing! There's a famous kebab shop and currywurst place right next to the hostel. The metro station is 20 meters from the front door. I think it's located near an asian neighborhood because there were a lot of asian restaurants. We love asian food so this was a huge unexpected bonus for us!

Inviting my girlfriend and 4 friends for a trip to Berlin, I was happy to find this hotel where I could rent a double room for her and I, and a quadruple apartment for our friends. Our room was almost as big as the apartment. We paid a relatively cheap price, for such a huge living room, a fully-working open kitchen on one side of that living room, and a very confortable room. Overall, it was a great place that fulfilled our need perfectly. On the down side, I found the look&feel quite oldish. It was everything but modern or design. It was big and confortable, but did not look too fantastic. The bathroom was also very minimal, with a small bath but no shower.

I enjoyed my staying in Armony very much. The owner, Laola (I hope I spell her name correctly...) was very kind and helpful, and did everything required to help me with any question/request. Breakfasts were rich and tasty, and the price was very reasonable. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was just great: near a park, and from my window I could see a beautiful red brick church.

I chose to stay at this place with my mom, and she loved it. Everything with Vilhelm 7 is nice, clean, spacious and comfy rooms. Very nice and helpful staff. The location is a very calm area in Kreuzberg, with 5 min walk to U-bahn. Personally I would have prefered a more central location, but considering the good price and everything else being tiptop Im still very happy with our stay.
