Very good place”

Mikon eastgate is a very cosy and good place to stay in Berlin city center. The staff were very professional and prompt in their response and the place is very close to Berlin central station.

Great stay”

Simply value for money, even comes with free breakfast! Room is simple, functional but cosy. Good location, convenient to public transports and Berlin Hauptbahnhof is only one station away. Only thing is the lift is quite old and broke down on one of the days. Otherwise I would recommend this place for budget travellers who would like a no-frills stay.

I caught the TXL airport bus to the main station and after every one got off at the station the driver asked if I was getting off. I told him I wanted the last stop after the station and He stopped at the bus stop outside the Mikon hotel. Breakfast good and clean sheets .

Exceptional”

The staff here were friendly and extremely helpful! They helped me find everything I needed while staying in Berlin and lent me a power plug adapter. My room was basic but very clean and comfortable and there was lots of variety for breakfast.

Very good”

Hotel within a short walking distance from Brandenburg Tor and city center. Bathroom was spacious and good, but otherwise our family room (2 adults and 2 kids) was very small and one of our kids have to sleep on the floor since the sleep-sofa was too small for two kids, this meant that there was barely a couple foot size space on the floor. Breakfast was sufficient, but no variation over our three nights stay. On the breakfast terrace for some the brave food-picking birds are lovely, we considered it unpleasant. The hotel offers a reasonably priced public car parking on the nearby streets and in the evenings it was easy to find a parking place just in front of the hotel. The staff is helpful and speak good English.

Reasonable but hard to find”

Stayed at this hotel in the east of Berlin. It is situated on the top of a non descriptive building and you must buzz to get in and go up to the top of the building. The room was clean and the staff was helpful. The breakfast was a pretty minimal buffet. Good area for catching transit though and I could see Alexanderplatz from our room.

very good stay. I never expected a very affordable place, yet so decent, clean and with good breakfast in a a city like Berlin. It is very close to the main train stration, thus transportation is so accessible.

Reception ”

We checked in on 13/9/18 in the late evening. The receptionist was very impatient to handling our checking in. When we asked her about the bus to airport operating hour, she asked us to Google ourselves. Not willing to offer help at all. However, the check out on 14/9/18 morning has turned to be a super pleasant experience. The receptionist was much more friendly and helpful. Our impressions on Mikon hotel wasn’t negative all the way, credit must goes to him.

Perfect budget accomodation in the heart of Berlin”

Fully satisfied with my stay there. Excellent location 10 minutes walk from Hbf, quiet place so you can open the windows. All attractions in walking distance. Breakfast was good enough but with russian accent because of the russian staff)) Room was large enough but the furniture and the way it is placed seems a bit strange. Queen size bed is too soft for me but OK for my wife.

The walls were paper thin”

The walls were paper thin. I could hear everything people next room were talking even with normal talking. During the nights I hear them snoring. In the morning I heard next room phone alarm go off 5 am. You wake up when someone comes from partying and so on. I have never slept so bad in a hotel. Staff were nice, although they didnt let me change the room even when I requested it after first horrible night. Location was perfect for me. Breakfast was very good considering the room price.

Average stay”

The hotel does not provide any basic amenities such as kettle, cups etc so it was quite a pain to go out to get coffee. Also, there is nothing to eat around so the closest place would be the Berlin Central station.

Convenient location but very simple”

This hotel is quite central and it's clean. However, it is not really a hotel. It is much closer to a hostel. The breakfast is a bit too simple. Value for money is so-so. The "hotel" looks definitely better in pictures than in real life.

quiet hotel in ok location”

We stayed here for one night at end of March. It's a quiet hotel but is well located near Nordbahnhof and Hauptbahnhof. It was reasonably priced and had free wi-fi access. Roooms were small but fairly comfortable.

Great hotel, great location”

We stayed here during our semester abroad - Breakfast was good; typical European breakfast. A couple of hornets flying around the jams, but can't help that b/c it was warm. Beds were comfy. Elevator was super. 6 Euro uber from train station to get there.

Ok, not great”

I was in a single bed room that was on the 4th floor so it felt like i lived under a staircase. The room was clean and the bathroom was very clean so that was good. Germany in general did not have any airconditioning so I was glad to have a fan, albeit it did not cool me or the room down. Infact it was cooler outside the hotel room than inside. it was close to the train station but further than I expected

Not what we expected”

The double room we initially checked in was so small we couldn't walk on the sides of the bed. The bed was a queen size, not a double, the mattress so soft we would jump up and down at the slightest movement, there was only one side table and the blinds didn't cover the window which meant at 5am we weren't able to sleep anymore. Bed linens and towels had few spots, the toothbrush holder was dusty and there was no toiletries except a soap dispenser in the shower and above the sink. The room was next to the lift so we could hear it anytime it was used. At 9AM we asked to checkout as highly unsatisfied, only to find out the policy doesn't allow any kind of refund 14 days prior to the booked date. The manager was not on site, so we'd been asked to wait until the afternoon, which would have meant wasting the entire day without being able to move to another hotel. After contacting Agoda, we'd been offered another room, which matched the web pics and had the blinds replaced by the staff.
