Very nice hotel ”

I drove my car to the hotel and the car park is unexpectedly huge. Then I enter the hotel the front desk was a bit small but the staff were so friendly. Then the room is very nice too. The next day I was in a breakfast there are big variety of choicese. I would recommend this hotel to my friends!

Lovely hotel with excellent service”

shinkansen hotel is a lovely place to stay especially for business. it is located in an industrial zone which is 10 mins drive to the high speed railway. location is not suitable for holidays stayer. needs to spend about nt$100 to nt$200 for taxi ride to the town or night market. most taxis knows the place. it's quiet at night with only a 7-11 store across the street. the staff service attitude are excellent. i need to enquire about buying the popular sunnyhill pineapple tarts and the staff, ms angel helps me to place order by phone and arrange it to deliver to my next destination in tainan. the delivery was done in accordance to the arrangement i really enjoy my stay there. very impressed. the gym facilities can be improved

Budget city hotel”

Shinkansen Grand Hotel is located at the industrial area of Taichung city. No shopping centre and restaurant nearby but you can get most of the thing at 7-11 which is just opposite to the hotel. Spacious free park space is provided.

Well-run, comfortable hotel in an industrial area”

This was a good hotel for my situation as it was halfway between the conference I was attending and the city. While the views and nearby surrounds were not terribly interesting, taxis were easy to catch and inexpensive to and from the city. Good value, comfortable rooms and friendly, helpful staff.

Nice hotel but too far from city”

Shinkansen Grand Hotel is very nice and comfortable. I love the bathroom especially, its big and clean. However, the location is too remote, far from the main city. Many cab driver commented that it is located in the industrial area, far from city.

spacious rooms”

location requires driving so it may not be suitable for travellers who need to get into the city often. the industrial area gets dark in the evening so there isnt much to go around on foot after dark. aside from the above, the place is good value for the money with spacious room and new facilities.

I am very impressed with Chris who has been so helpful with our transport arrangement. Excellent service. The hotel location is great, easily accessible to all the big shopping areas. the receptionsit is ok, they just took us few minutes to check in our room. the lobby is quite suitable and lightening. well, if it could be bigger would be better. the bed is a little bit small, but it's comfortable definitely. the breakfast is good(buffet), and the environment of the restaurant is nice too.

The location of the hotel is convenient to those who drive. Hotel service is poor, there is no bell boy to handle the luggages.

If you are a business traveler, this is a hotel you can choose to stay. Quiet and clean. Only takes 10-15 mins to drive to Taichung downtown, not bad.
