The location is very good. It takes about 5 minutes by Grab to get to the market (since it's one-way, you have to go around). Walking takes about 15 minutes. Since it was hot, I gave up walking during the day and took Grab instead. Grab is very easy to catch. There’s a cruise embarkation spot right in front. It’s right in front of the "fireworks" stage. If you make a reservation for the hotel rooftop or the buffet, it's an excellent spot. You can also watch from the 5th floor. When you go outside the Novotel, there seems to be a parking lot where locals gather to watch. There are plenty of folding chairs provided, so we watched from there. The breakfast is diverse and delicious. There’s a washing machine in the apartment, so it was good to wash the clothes I bought from the market. There is a dryer function, but I didn’t use it because I don't think the market t-shirts would fare well in there. Everything was satisfactory, but I took off one star for the cleanliness. I stayed for 6 nights, and they didn’t clean the floors even once. Even if they had, it felt very half-hearted. The dust I saw in the morning was still there when I returned in the evening. It was the same the next day too. I just wiped it down with wet wipes.

This is a modern hotel with all the amenities you expect from hotels around the world. What I noticed when we checked in was the modern touch, cleanliness and friendly staff. We took a taxi to most places but also walked to Hann Market. The best part us was the view from our balcony. Just the best view I've had when staying in a city hotel. The morning breakfast buffet was extensive and got us ready for a full day of activities. I could go on, as I couldn't really find anything I can fault the hotel for during our stay. I would stay here again.

We stayed here to celebrate my mother's birthday, and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. Not only was the service exceptional from the moment we checked in, but they also surprised us with a beautifully decorated complimentary birthday cake! The view from our room was the cherry on top — we had a front-row seat to the fireworks show right from the balcony. Truly a magical night!
