"This was our first time to Fort Lauderdale and I booked at B ocean because it had the only hotel with the private beach. The hotel is modern and clean. We stayed in the king ocean view with balcony, smaller room than I expected but it was very chic and housekeeping kept it very clean. The views of the sunrise were amazing. The restaurants were OK we did most of our eating down Las Olas Boulevard or Fort Lauderdale beach. One of the best things was being able to use the bicycles; in the morning we’d ride down the boardwalk for breakfast. The beach was nice, the water beautiful. We basically sat near the main pool the entire time, it’s small but kept you cool. My only complaint about the pool was the music is terrible and they don’t start opening up the towel station until after 10 AM. Overall for the money I would recommend this hotel"

"My visit to Florida was to attend a family funeral, and the Hotel location was suggested by a family member. During my 7 days stay I slept in 3 different rooms for the following reasons :- Phone did not work, fridge frozen -up, TV (non-cable) not working, water on bathroom floor after shower. To had insult to injury, in what was clearly a stressful situation, on Sunday 12th the room was not cleaned. eg. beds not made, bins not emptied, bathroom not cleaned. and floors not mopped.. Having stayed at numerous hotels in USA, I know and have experience 3 Star Standards. and associated Services... The Standards in the rooms at the Fort Lauderdale Grand..is definitely below par, due to old, broken and outdated furnishings which a lick of paint cannot remedy. Finally, I would like to be compensated , for the discomfort and distress I was forced to endure. given the reason for travelling to Fort Lauderdale."

"My wife and I had a great time golfing and going out at night for two weeks from our base at the Red Carpet Inn in Fort Lauderdale, FL. It has a very good, reasonably priced on-site restaurant. Loved the shower--it was like a vacation within a vacation! Our favorite night spot was the very nearby Slackers Bar and Grill, which hosts great trivia tournaments two nights a week. "I wasn’t sure what to expect with this hotel. The pictures looked nice, but we got such a good rate that I was sure it was too good to be true. To my surprise, the pictures were an accurate depiction of the hotel. We only spent one night as this was just a stop to on our way to the airport after a weekend in Key West. During our stay we had cocktails and dinner at the pool bar which was delicious, we swam in the pool, walked on the beach and hung out at Octopus for a glass of wine and a late night snack (our friends ordered a burger to split and it was EXCELLENT). My only minor disappointment was that they had a foozball and a shuffle board table at Octopus but neither were in very good shape. The hotel is unique and stylish and the beach room we stayed in was very large and comfortable with a huge tv. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The area is quiet and clean and great for anyone looking to relax away from the nightlife of Ft Lauderdale. We hope to return"

"The rooms are clean, comfortable bed, good wifi, (make sure you get a room near the office)good water pressure. Easy and fast check in and check out. The location is good, 10 minutes from the beach and central for my interests.I will stay again when i am in the area. One block off interstate 95, minutes from Miami and Fort Lauderdale, "

"stayed for 1 night prior to a cruise from Fort Lauderdale Port Everglades. Staff were very helpful we had a good nights rest and enjoyed an excellent meal in the restaurant opposite and also managed to shop for some needed items in the pharmacy next door would be happy to stay here again"

"After reading reviews I was nervous about booking here, but the experience was great! It is right across from the beach (just like every other hotel) due to the street in front of the beach. The staff was amazing! They let us check in 4 hours early and also held our things after checkout on the last day. There are plenty of restaurants within a mile. Downtown is only a few miles away and an Uber is cheap. The location is great. The bathroom was small, but there was a giant mirror in the room so getting ready was not difficult at all. The Deck is right outside and breakfast is great and affordable. If you are expecting a balcony with a great view, this is probably not the place for you, but if you are someone that is wanting to spend time on the beach and out and about, it is great. "

"I'm back at the HBH. This time staying at the Oceanvillas. I'm hoping to try all of the different buildings. At check in, the poor girl was swamped. They need to hire a second during the normal check in hours to help with the crowd. When I got to the front, the cashier was fast and knowledgeable. Got my key in minutes. Found the hotel on the next block but had to park at the lot across the street. But I was lucky to have a space so no complaints. The outside area was clean with tables and grills. The room is small but recently remodeled. The bathroom is huge and all tile. Don't plan to watch TV, either cable didn't work or it was not available. See you next month."
