California State hotels & accommodations

Place was "value for money" compared to the price of the Disney hotels. Going to and from the Disneyland resorts via the ART bus shuttle is convenient for a fee. I am just concerned over the fact that I was advertised to get a Disney view room - what we got was the back of the Guardians of the Galaxy ride and the higher portions of the fireworks.

I stayed at Hotel Nikko recently for three nights. I’ve stayed in San Francisco to visit our daughter many times, typically at the Westin St Francis. For this stay, I decided to try Hotel Nikko and am so glad I did! The room I had was beautifully appointed, the staff, from the front desk to the doorman and housekeeping were incredibly helpful, fun and thoughtful. I ...

We rolled into San Francisco on an evening flight and we waited for an hour before the shuttle showed up standing in the cold. We called a few times but it only came an hour later. As we got into the hotel, the front desk lady told me sh couldn't find my reservation and later we realised that I had booked the hotel a day later (I made a mistake and booked the room for ...

I booked a balcony room. That was a perfect room with nice view city, and amazing conditions. You can observe whole downtown San Francisco and enjoy sunset or dawn a vocation day. Location is perfect and convenient for shopping and dining. You can walk and shopping around best location. Recommend: i will book a balcony room for next time. Very safety and staff was goo...

no free wifi, have to pay a lot for it. the check in queue was long even at 1030pm, we waited for 20 mins or so. the parking spot was near to the room. the shuttle service is great apart from the fact that it stops for 2 hrs during lunchtime. the hotel itself is a v posh place to be but the heavy use is slowly wearing it out. rates arent cheap at all as you would e...

We choose this hotel because of their location. They located nest to the "Monterey State Historic Park" & lively "Fisherman's Wharf". You can leave your car and have some tasty meals just 3-minutes walk. The hotel building design blend with the original historic building. We love the adjustable shutters in the guest room instead of curtain(good for those who has allerg...

I had booked the Corner King room for the view. Definitely was not disappointed. Stayed there for one night only as San Diego was a spontaneous trip decided the day before and booked the room the day of. The hotel reminds me of a Vegas hotel. Very grand. It's off the ocean/bay so it's not close to the gaslamp district; that's where Lyft comes in handy. Do not take the ...

After a long trip and finally got through customs, I picked up my bags and activated my US simcard . I gave the hotel a call to organise the shuttle to pick me up. After about 45 minutes I got picked up and arrived at the hotel...Greeted by the lovely Bree, did all the particulars, got my room key and when into my room. The room although on the small side was very ni...

set just a quarter of a mile away from the los angeles international airport (lax) and featuring a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport, the hilton los angeles airport hotel in california is ideally situated for travelers using lax. the hotel’s 1,234 guest rooms are equipped with wifi and feature bright, modern furnishings. keep up with work in the bus...

Nice hotel, the room was a decent size and very clean. The pool area was nice, though it's more for relaxing than doing serious lengths. The price actually dropped considerably after we had booked, so beware of this if you go for the 'No refund' option. We had an issue with the valet parking though. The hotel stated we could leave the car until 3:00 p.m but one of th...

Good hotel in great location for Downtown attractions & BART to/ from airport . 2 minute walk to BART/Muni metro & Bus, 3 mins to cable cars. At the time of booking was the best priced downtown hotel in its category. Room was a good size & very clean.

We stayed here for the weekend of BlizzCon and it was a fantastic stay. The hotel is beautiful and close to all areas you would be interested in. One thing that needs to be discussed is that while my wife and I were at BlizzCon, an individual who stated they were security and needed to enter our room knocked on our door with my Mom and one-year old daughter inside. He ...

I got this 4 stars hotel with Agoda secret deals and I wasn't sure what we will get but I was greatly surprised. The location is excellent, with easy transportation to everywhere (we were doing uber anyway). The hotel is very clean and nice. It looks like new. The staff was very friendly as well. Very quality/price with Agoda.

Alex, the front desk associate, was very kind and upgraded our stay. We were on our honeymoon, and he also generously added a credit to our room. Overall, the aesthetic was great, very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Needless to say, but the view from the 12th floor of the observatory was amazing. Sunday brunch at pot, couldn't complain about anything. Pro...

Superb, friendly and helpful staff, gave map of gas lamp district when I inquired about restaurants, staff was smiling and always happy to answer questions and concerns. The view was gorgeous, overlooking the Bay!! I will definitely refer this hotel to friends and family as well as I plan on returning to the hotel as soon as possible! Price was right for a 4-5 star hot...

My only complaint is the Vue restaurant. The food is good, but we ate there three nights and the operations weren’t great. They sent out entrees before appetizers and kids food, some of the food wasn’t prepared correctly, but to their credit they made it right at each meal. Kids club is great and allows you to use the adult pool or golf. Overall great trip and I high...

We have stayed in this hotel a few times to attend special events at Knott's Berry Farm. You cannot get closer to the amusement park than their own hotel on property. It is a very short walk to the front gate and you can spend that time browsing the Berry Market shops and eating establishments along the way. The rooms are kept up fairly well. Many rooms are having a m...

When In San Diego there is so much to do and see. My husband and two young children wanted to experience the perfect family staycation. We are familiar with beaches and nearby cities . San Diego is all in one. The location for the hotel is perfect due to the fact you have access to the beaches, historical artifacts and the downtown near by. Location Wise , 100% could...

If you can afford it-Treat yourself to staying at the Surf and Sand Resort that is located right ON the beach in Laguna. The Towers rooms are right over the water with a beautiful balcony/patio with 180 degree views of the coast. Splashes the restaurant is one of the best in southern California, with dishes prepared and presented to perfection. The staff is all abo...

Granted: the area - at the edge of the Tenderloin - may not the best, but given the (for European standards) simply insane prices for hotel rooms elsewhere in San Francisco, this was excellent value for money. In contrast to many other - much more expensive - hotels I've seen in the city, which claim to be newly built or renovated but already have a somewhat shabby lo...

Perfect. Absolutely happy with my stay there. Got in touch with Diane from Concierge two months before my stay to see if any help could be done for my proposal and was beyond satisfied with the outcome. Got help from Leticia and also Front Office Tyler throughout the event. One of my most memorable hotel stays ever. Highly recommend Hyatt Regency to anyone looking at s...

It’s awaome hotel n resort best part is it’s very near to Lake Tahoe lake so you can enjoy at beach when ever you want and it has good parking pace Indian Restruant ,Safeway, cvs pharmacy are all walkable(4 -5 min) There is boat rental , parasailing and kayaking that you can rent. This is an older hotel and could probably use some updates, but this is my favorite place to stay in Fresno. I love the large rooms. Most of the motels/hotels in this price range are so small. Staff is pleasant, rooms are clean, has ice and refrigerator to chill your wine, and sliding glass doors on the inside rooms to step out for fresh air, comfortable bed and pil...

Wonderful hotel. The hotel has probably recently been renovated because everything looks just perfect and gives you this quality feeling. The staff is very friendly, the views are stunning, the location is excellent (the beach is just around the corner, shops and plenty of good restaurants nearby). We traveled through California and after madhouse Las Vegas, The Huntle...
Cheap places to stay in California State

Beds are squeaky n mattresses are thin. Public bathroom shower is a lil dirty, building is old. But if you need a place to rest urs head & gear while meet some interesting travelers this is he place to be. Wifi was good! Can't beat the price & practicality.

I had an enjoyable stay at the Monarch. There were a lot of other europeans there and it was nice to chct with them. The lobby downstairs was really nice and cozy and I enjoyed having my morning coffee downstairs in the lounge section of the lobby conversing with other guests. My only complaint was that the hotel was not equipped with the best Wi-fi, some guests repo...

I love Melrose hostel so much! The bed is so comfortable and roommates are all nice.Melrose is the best choice for someone travels alone. I left all my stuff and hung out for whole day,the location is really good and you can take a metro bus to the nearest metro station or downtown.(BTW if you want to buy a bus day pass you need to go to metro station, where you can tak...

The bunk beds are rather old hence they make creaking sounds whenever I turn. I tried to restrict my movements or turn gently to minimize the disturbances to other guests in the room. Had a really sore body when I woke up probably due to trying to sleep in one position. Overall, this is still value for money - it is close to the boardwalk and the place is generally cle...

The owner asked me what kind of drugs I did and when I told him I don't do drugs. He then asked if I drank in which I told him I did not. He found it strange and asked how I handled stress as if it is normal to do drugs or drink to handle anything. I told him I only drink to celebrate and he said that that was strange. I booked an all female room but this room is acc...

Flooded toilet urinile during entire stay. I brought this to housecleaner woman and she said I will get it up but did not. This is the best hostel that I've ever lived! I don't know what to say but wow, wow, and wow! Scenery around this hostel is super amazing. It's about 40 to 50 minutes driving to downtown San Fransisco, and also the same time driving to San Jose. Strongly recommend this hostel to everyone who wants travel in San Fransisco!

Great place to stay, cheap and affordable so don’t expect the Hilton or ritz when you arrive but certainly value for money. Only downfall is customer service.with staff. They hire backpackers for front desk so the desk people aren’t there cause they want to, but cause they have to as it pays for their rooms.... I said hello every time I came and left for the day but wa...

It was awesome to stay in a traditional house close to the centre of this wonderful town. The staff we met were quite young and knew the town extremely well , were very friendly and knowledgeable. The place attracts other like minded travellers/guests and there is a large lounge area and kitchen that creates the perfect place to share travel tips and tales. If preferre...

Its absolutely the best hostel Ive lived in the states. The staff r so chilled, so many different activities every day that u feel so great because u can meet everyone in just one day(its a huge hostel BTW). Need to confirm the check in time. I went there after 2 which is around 3 something and they said it is not available to check in until around 4:30pm. It is not there responsible to notify the customer . The stuff said, the hotel need to be ready before the hostel. I think it is rude to say to customer like that instead of being polite and show the customer service. I ...

Location just could’nt be better... walk of fame is right at the front door. Across the hotel is the metro subway station, Dolby Theater, TCL Chinesse theater and the lot that you need to see while in Hollywood. On Sunday the part of hollywood boulevard in front of the hotel was closed for vehicles. So you can enjoy all the actions more freely. To my surprise the hoste...

As a solo female traveller, it can be difficult to narrow down on a hostel in Hollywood. But this place was the best! It's extremely close to Hollywood Boulevard and TCL Chinese Theatre (a 3-minute walk). The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly, and always ready with some helpful advice. They have a DIY breakfast, but all the pr...

The cheapest i can find for visiting yosemite Staff is friendly Room has a smell of someone’s sweat No body detergent in the bathroom so be sure to bring your own Kitchen is well equipped but of mediocre cleanliness Location is an hour something drive from yosemite. Check in was very easy, and we arrived very late. Employee was nice. The room was simple, and had a small refrigerator and microwave. Loved the water pressure. My boyfriend thought the showerhead was a little low, but I thought it was perfect. Pool was empty, but the jacuzzi was working and appeared to not close. We were able to use it late, which was nice. It's defin...

This was my second stay at the hotel and I found it a most enjoyable experience. There are numerous bus routes nearby and the California Street cable car is a short distance away. There are lots of restaurants and cafes on nearby Polk Street. The hotel staff was friendly and attentive at all times.

Good experience for $. Could not get heat to work. Had quiet back lot room. Limited wifi. Pleasant staff. Excellent Indian food across the street. Dilpreet fixed best garlic naan ever. Surprised breakfast was as good as it was. Would stay again.

I always have a great stay here and always have a great time in South Lake Tahoe! but this place is a great value and location is one of the best you can get. There was only one thing that could be more consistent. Both times I stayed here the heaters were not working or very loud. This last time It was 19f during my stay and was always on and always loud. But othe...

This art deco Hotel has a fabulous location, facing Santa Monica beach, the view of which is best observed from the rooftop bar. Any stay at this Hotel is made more pleasurable by the attention to detail meted out by Sven Norreberg, the dynamic Manager, who is absolutely dedicated to his job & his guests.

Located close the airport with shuttle fidelity, this hotel is bang on in terms of location and convenience.. The hotel itself is very clean with all the facilities and good value for money.. Definitely recommended.. Also check to see when you are booking that your breakfast is free as they charge 25$ for breakfast otherwise.. Overall a cool place that I will visit ag...

No hotel in San Francisco is cheap. Especially one so close to tourist areas like this one is. They will all try to nickel and dime you, charging US$5 for a bottle of water, and this place is no exception. So I certainly can’t say that this place was a good value... especially after paying almost US$70 to park overnight. Besides the typical San Francisco exorbitance...

My wife and I were visiting our family in the Bay area. This is our second stay at the Pullman Hotel. It became the locus of our vacation. Our room was beautiful, with large bathroom with both bathtub and shower. It was exceptionally quiet, well-appointed with blackout curtains, very comfortable bed and large tv. I enjoyed the outdoor pool and we both had cocktail...

Apart from being centrally located next to union square, it's close to all the shopping that you need and restaurants. It's also walkable to public transports. The rooms are new and spacious, I even had a 'powder area'. The best was staff attentiveness. As I had a flight to catch at midnight, I requested to extend my booking till the evening , and I was willing to pay ...

Nice facility similar to an embassy suites hotel, clean room, great staff, good food at breakfast. The only thing to look out for here is the extra charges. $19 day parking, $24 a day resort fee, $5 extra charge for an omelet at breakfast. Overall though I would recommend this hotel.

A lovely hotel with beautifully appointed rooms and friendly staff. The only negative is that the walls are quite thin and you can hear other guests walking around or talking in the next room. This may have been isolated to my part of the hotel, however if you like a super quiet stay - check with the hotel on your room location before booking.

We had tix for Levi Stadium and on the map, another hotel appeared closer, but was booked. I noticed the Hyatt site sd they had a 15 min walk, sounded reasonable. Once you’re there, it seems like a shorter walk. Once you’re there, the Stadium is “right there.” Don’t let maps deceive you. Also, we ate in the restaurant. A bit pricier than we planned to spend that ni...

Stayed here on a very busy weekend in Los Angeles, got a pretty good price compared to the other hotels in the area. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Hotel is definitely a bit older but has been remodeled with new amenities. The location was perfect. Pool was heated and nice except the building shade blocks the sun fairly early in the day. Would definitely stay he...

The entrance to the hotel is really cool and is their colorful instagram brought to life! The pool is the same. However, as you go further into the hotel, the toilets, your room, especially the corridors, you can tell it’s an old hotel painted to what it is today in a shabby messy way with old tatty bits really standing out. The bikes we borrowed were broken and bashed...
Luxury hotels in California State

The hotel is a city icon with a magnificent lobby. They had their famous gingerbread house out for Christmas which brought in many locals. The rooms were well furnished but as well stayed in the main building (older, I like old places) we could hear everything through the walls. We stay twice and in both rooms we could hear everything. I guess stay in the new tower th...

Tried to give us a Vista suite instead of City view suite even though cost was a lot more. Spent 45 mins to sort out and showed them paperwork to confirm booking room type. Was not happy but did get a free meal out of it. Nevertheless, not what is expected from a 5* hotel. On the plus side, it is a very cool, trendy hotel and the included breakfast although only cold w...

If you are looking for a real 5 stars luxury treat, from the moment you checked in till you check out, it is the right place in SF. Friendly & professional staff. Super clean room with great amenities, moder furnture & great indining service. Worth the money you spend. Highly recommend it 👍🏻

My stay there was wonderful. The staff service are great, however the bell boy took a long time to bring the luggages to the rooms. The interior of the hotel and rooms are gorgeous. Design by Phillpe Stark. Cost of the room is slightly expensive but worth it as it is near many malls and good restaurants. The hotel is also near many attractions like Farmer's mark...

I was very impressed with the staff and grounds/facilities and property and location and shuttle service. The tea room manager was outstanding and he was very kind and helpful. We took a small tour of the grounds and this was also excellent so thank you to the staff. However, the restaurant (Terrace) was weak and my family waited over 1 hour to get our dinner. Kid...

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mr C Beverly Hills Hotel. We have no complains about this hotel as everything was beyond our expectation. We got the room with city view and the view was just magnificent from the balcony. The room was amazingly huge for just the two of us and the furnitures in the room were so pretty and new. Ralph's and CVS were loc...

Gorgeous small hotel rooms in beautifully kept grounds, in a lovely location in Santa Barbara (although be prepared for a 40 minute walk through downtown to the seafront). The staff are really lovely and super attentive, nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in Plumstead Cottage, which is one of the little cabin style houses in the grounds. It’s small, but perfectly f...

although the motel is not big, it includes a small refrigerator, TV, AC, and if you asked about the hair dryer, they also had it. clean room everyday, very nice staff. location close to downtown, little tokoyo and China town. free wifi and parking

Candlelight is very beautiful hotel which has 11 individual rooms with diversified design. The hotel is located a bit away downtown, if by car, it may take 5-8 mins. The hotel owns a swimming pool, garden, car parking. We highly recommend breakfast that is the most delicious one! Every morning the breakfast is with different recipe, not only yummy but beautiful.

It was a memorable experience. No matter how busy the city of Los Angeles was stepping back into the hotel meant peace, calm and relaxation. And refreshing to face another LA day. Conceierge is great to get you shows in the area. Stand up comedy, plays etc.

The start of our holiday was arriving at this grand and imposing hotel. It really has that wow factor which is exactly what most guests are after. The staff are beyond polite and give you the true 5* treatment...scrape the surface with any of them and they all have genuine personality as well, which adds to feeling relaxed. The pools are great, especially with young ch...

We booked Agoda for one night to add to a previous Taj four night reservation. The deal was much better that what was available directly from the hotel. This place is amazing! Beautiful grounds. Clean hotel. Kids pool great for families. There are lots of little nooks with seating to hangout in peace and quiet. Only complaints are very expensive Self-parking and Valet parking with bad "free" alternatives. They also lie about not being able to overnight park in the public parking just so they can sell you on their...

wonderful wonderful services from the moment you booked the hotel. get ready to be pamper from the moment you arrived at the hotel and the room facing the bay have a awesome view and the fireplace just make you feel warm and its like a home away from home.

Wonderful! We checked in early & had a quiet room as requested. Actually, they upgraded the room with a private terrace on the 3rd floor. The pool & jacuzzi is open 24/7 on the top floor of the hotel, it's really very beautiful with views of Beverly Hills.

You can't really beat the location of this property. So classical California and with a Spanish twist and easy walking distance into the old downtown with good restaurants and funky shopping. Love the history of this place with the old train station nearby. The property is beautiful (as you would expect for a Four Seasons). Every single staff member obviously loved ...
