The location is just paradise on earth! White sandy beach (almost nobody during covid times). The bungalows were good and we especially enjoyed the infinity pool and the small supermarket right at the hotel. We can definitely recommend!

Chose basic fan room, No tv, no air con and no fridge but we came for the beach and relaxed feeling , thong nai pan yai is getting busier year on year, enjoy it before it becomes over crowded

Yes, the pool is nice and the beach is one of the best on Phangan. No parasols at the pool but ample shade on the beach. Just reopened a month so still a lot to repair and improve. Great supermarket with reasonable prices. Biggest turn off is that there is no restaurant. Next door is Nice bungalows and their restaurant is great for breakfast.

The hotel is really good located, good pool and nice territory,amaizing seasside. But the service might be better...We had a clogged in our bathroom and we were expected that they would tackle this problem while cleaning up our appartment.But the staff just left it as it was...Another thing-our bedding was poor and with holes everywhere and we spent long time solving this problem,we came to the reception several times and finally they gave us dirty blankets) after some days we saw a chambermaid and she gave us 2 sheets)) So,these things spoiled our opinion about the hotel unfortunately.

Despite advising late arrival, there were no members of staff present to check us in when we arrived. We tried calling, but no one answered the phone, and we even tried knocking on doors to buildings that looked like staff members could be sleeping in, but no answer. So we had no other choice but to sleep on a sun lounger by the pool. The next morning we were treated like it was our fault, despite showing the email and calls I made the night before. I was charged for a night that I slept outdoors. Terrible customer service, and clearly need informing on how a professional hotel is run. Would not recommend.

We didn't even check IN, for many reasons. The person at reception asked for deposit, no manners and no hospitality standards at all. The reception was smelly, the whole resort looked quite "dark" and and the situation itself did not inspire any confidence or trust. Besides, where in the world you have to put a deposit for an hotel room? I just left , and it's the worst experience I ever had on a hotel booking.

Starlight resort is in a great location, right in the middle of the beachfront. The infinity pool is amazing, and over looks the beach. The rooms are nice, big comfy beds, towels etc. The wifi is terrible, however! And the shower is a wet-room (over the floor) set up. This hotel would have been almost perfect, but unfortunately the front desk staff person was extremely unhelpful and downright rude! She was very annoyed if you asked for any thing at all: For example: She would not give us toilet paper when we ran out, she told us to buy it in the supermarket. She came banging on our door at 3 minutes past check out time, saying we had to check out. We explained that wewere waiting for the storm to let up so we wouldn't get soaked. She said that wasn't possible, so we asked her if we could walk back to reception with her, under her (huge)golf umbrella. To our disbelief she said NO! So we had to drag all our stuff around in the torrential rain! Another occasion was when we we bought tickets to go to koh Tao from a different ticket seller (not her). She asked if we wanted tickets and we said we had already bought them. She said our tickets were invalid, and that the boat didn't go at that time anymore. We were confused, and asked if she could perhaps find out for sure from the seller, as we didn't speak much Thai. She just said no, and laughed as she left us. (Despite the fact she was passing the other ticket seller, and so it wouldn't have been hard for her to ask!) Also, we bought 3 return tickets for the taxi to the FMP from her. When one of us was ill, we asked if we could return one ticket, and she could re-sell it. She was very rude and said no, despite the fact that there were other people there looking to buy tickets, so it would have been very easy and simple to do. Overall, despite the beauty of the hotel, the sheer rudeness of the front desk person put a dampner on our stay, and we would not return there because of this.

This place has really gave us amazing experience as we were there with kids (7,5,3 and 1 year old) the pool is just amazing. It has different layers so you don't have to always swimm in deep water. The beach is clean, very smooth sand and not busy. In the night we could hear some music but not really loud and that was ok. In this resort is no restaurant or bar but next door is supermarket, restaurants and bars so you can really choose from many options. 5 minutes walk is local market. In general Koh Phangan is more expensive (beer 70bht, scooter for 1 day 250bht) but we have enjoyed are stay there and would totally come back again

Amazing pool and location, great value for money”
Definitely cheaper to book through Agoda than at the hotel itself. We loved this resort so much we ended up staying a couple extra nights. Although the location is a little isolated from the rest of Koh Phangan, the bay it is in is very quiet with an amazing area to swim/ kayak/ paddle board. Lots of food options at surrounding resorts, and very clean.

Heads-up: Apparently there are TWO different places called Starlight on opposite sides Koh Phangan. Make sure you know which one you are booking in advance. This should save you some of the confusion that we experienced. Aside from that mixup, the place was great. Quiet, on the less-busy East side of the island. The beach is literally in the backyard. They have a small store (open till midnight) right next to reception. A 7-11 is within walking distance if you need anything after midnight. Neighboring restaurant right on the beach's sand was convenient. We had a room with a fan, AC costs a little more, but we were fine without it. Room had a balcony with nice wood-carved table and chairs. The pool was great too. I would stay here again. 👍

Great value... Beautiful Setting”
The pool was lovely and it overlooked the beach. I loved the quietness of Thong Nai Pan... Much more relaxing than Phuket or even Koh Samui! I stayed in a ceiling fan room. Next time, I think I would opt for AC. The room had a balcony with doors you can open (which was nice, although there is not much privacy with neighbors close by), but there was no screen to keep the mosquitoes out. However, great price for a clean and new room.
