A Short Getaway to Desaru”
Got it at RM145 per night and it was exciting as the price was super worth it with 2BR which out of my expectation. I thought the price was for studio apartment. It was easy to get the key with the nice instruction from the agent. Smooth like butter. Car park was provided and just need to park at the specific parking lot. The cleanliness is satisfied too. Just that maybe they need to change to better toilet paper and the pillows are kinda smelly. So I would suggest that maybe can bring your own pillow or pillowcase. The rest look fine for me. The facilities include swimming pool and it was okay for me and there is even a vending machine at the lobby in case you need drinks or snacks in a real quick. Location wise is good as there are shoplots in front of the apartment where you can get groceries, food and drinks, so convenient. It is just few kilometers away from the desaru beach. So overall it is worth it and definitely highly recommend.

The location is in city and very close to four points by Sheraton; this is apartment owned by someone. There are other residents in the condominium. There is a pool in the property but I didn't see anyone use it. The property sent message to my WhatsApp which I didn't have access to since I traveled from Singapore. The message was to say that collect the keys from the mailbox, and about checkin checkout etc. Nobody at the gate or building was available to help with luggage or help with the location. The taxi took few rounds to find the place because the condominium was called desaru utama but Agoda shows as desaru Johor by glex(I saw another property showing as desaru utama for slightly less price but seems it's the same property). The mailbox digits provided were wrong, so we had to put a pencil to get the keys out. Somehow we got in after all the delay finding the location and getting the keys and access card to the building. Once inside the house, our stress was less because the apartment is very well kept, clean and has washing machine too. However no toiletries was a bit disappointing as we didn't carry our own. Towels are provided. No wifi. No coffee or tea packets but a packet of sugar in the kitchen. The wardrobes in all rooms are not usable by guests as they have extra pillows, mattress, iron, hairdryer etc. that the guests can use(we didn't as we checked in late at 8pm). The back gate of the condo faces the market at tempas 2, but the gate was locked at all times. So we had to go to the security gate and walk all the way around the condominium to get to the restaurants. Overall a clean and good stay in the city if you know the area (taxi driver could not find the location and the security at the same condo couldn't confirm that it was 'desaru Johor by glex'. Had to request the taxi driver to call the property number provided at Agoda to confirm the location. But too pricey (four points Sheraton is cheaper I realized). Nearby restaurants are cheap and

The unit I got for my stay were very dirty. The toilet was wet and not properly clean, found a loofa, broken cupboard and shaver cover in the sink. 2nd bathroom found leftover shampoo and bodywash from previous guest. Provided stove for cooking but the frying pan was rusty and blackend inside. Drawer kept all plates, mugs and cutleries full with dust like never clean ever. 2nd bedroom pillow and bedsheet smelled with human sweat, request for change and yet the staff just came with empty Ikea bag and closed the door (no idea why he need to closed the door), end up found out instead of change the bedsheet and pillow case he just spray with air fresher. Complained to he agent and was offered to do the spring cleaning to the house, I rejected the offer as WHY you need to do spring cleaning while the unit been occupied with guest, it should be done before not during guest stay. In the booking said we will able to get free channel from Singapore and Malaysia but the only available channel is around 10 channels (all with bored channel) not even have TV1 or TV2. Asked to cancel one night and refund but was rejected. Have to check out early at 11am which is ridiculous, 5star hotel also check out at 12pm with foc extension until 1pm but here late check out will be charge RM30 per hour. I have checked out early morning at 7.30am but yet still need to wait for the staff clean the house then only do my deposit refund. I'm not sure whether this is the staff negligent of cleanliness or the management don't bother to check on every unit before let the guest check in. Broken equipment not repaired. It's better I gave 1star for cleanliness if not there is no star should be given at all.

The house neat and clean. But a bit smelly like a house that has been abandoned for a long time. Recommended for short and long stay. Host was awesome. Easy check in and check out. Apartment was completed with sofa, aircond every bedroom and dining , water heater also working very well and everything well-maintained. Will repeat my stay. Thank you!
