We were heading to a gig within walking distance of the U Boutique, and it was fantastic value for what we needed. The room wasn't huge, and there was a shared bathroom, but it had a comfy bed and self-serve lock keys for easy entry. Everything was clean, and the simple continental breakfast was yummy. The shared bathroom was directly opposite our door and it was big and clean. PJ was wonderful and friendly and we appreciated the late checkout and carpark across the road. This isn't a super glam big hotel, but it is a wonderful spot for the price :)

Enjoyed the ambience of the property. The room was small but comfortable, and the shared bathroom spacious, and kept clean. A pleasant walk from the main city area, it was central to where I needed to go. Walked into the City, visited the Te Rapa Museum, all on foot. There are also a number of restaurants within close walking distance, and if you choose to stay in, there is a small fridge available in the room. I was there for 2 nights and bought fruit, cereal, milk. Had my own plastic cutlery and a bowl which came in handy as the room only has glasses, mugs and teaspoons. Taxi from the airport was 15 min, and the staff kindly organised an early morning taxi pick up which arrived promptly. I would stay here again when travelling to Wellington.
Exactly what I was after for the price”
Ideal if you are looking for somewhere to lay your head at night in the city. Bed was super comfortable. I had a shared bathroom but it was clean and well-stocked. Great central location. Parking is offered over the road in the Wilson's carpark. I did a virtual check-in which was hassle free. When I did need assistance by phone it was fast and met all my needs. I'd definitely stay here again when staying in the city.

Booked a room (#5) with a private bathroom, this ended up being separate from the actual room, requiring a key entrance, which was how it was kept just for you. Ended up being ok as I was sharing with a friend, but bit annoying at night. What I disliked most about this place is I felt it is not secure. Room 5 is on the 1st level, has a little balcony, but this balcony has stairs up to it, so any random could walk up the stairs and prob prize the door open pretty easily. Also, the swipe for your door was only needed at your door, so any random could walk into this hotel, up the flight of stairs and right outside your room. It isn’t helped by the hotel been situated in a back street. If I was travelling on my own, I would’ve considered leaving, purely on security. Otherwise, the place is clean and comfortable.
