Beautiful piece of paradise”
It is not that easy to get there. It's a good 30 minute bumpy ride in a song theaw after the ferry, which is after whatever means you took to get to Trat. But it is worth it. Idyllic, quiet stretch if beach, comfy, clean rooms, great food, lovely friendly staff. I genuinely cannot think of anything bad to say. It's lovely, we certainly haven't regretted the journey here. As ever in the more rural parts of Thailand, drainage isn't great, and there are mosquitoes, but that's general Thailand stuff not this specific place. They're just two things to be mindful of. Still an amazing place.

Simple Garden Bungalow”
Great little place to stay towards the south of Koh Kut. We had the resort to ourselves and the nearby beach is amazing. Great staff and breakfast. Bungalow was basic but clean and tidy. Would recommend to anyone who is planning to try a few resorts on Koh Kut.

It is a hotel opened by Thais. It is close to the beach and the sand is very good, but the water heater is broken. One of the employees has a bad attitude. Kayaking is free. Children love it, but regret is that they cannot snorkel.

Great for relaxation!”
Located pretty far south on Koh Kood, on a lovely white sand beach with gentle waves and nice breezes. Not the place to come to party or socialize, but perfect for sitting on a beach chair and finishing off a book or two and wading into the waves every so often. I saw the other comments about the food (which is fine, but not amazing) and the management (perfectly nice and friendly) - things are done on island time and at island pace. A perfect place to hang out for a few days and forget about the rest of the world.

Lovely beachfront property. Can walk to a few other resorts and a small shop along the beach. Use the kayaks for no extra charge. Breakfast was ok, not great. No milk there at all. Ants in the room that staff didn’t want to get rid of for us. No solution just they’d clean them away. Not much help when they’re crawling on the bed at night.

The view is excellent. The breakfast is ok. The front beach is amazing. Product prices from the hotel are reasonable. The locations is a little far from the city proper and restaurants Some of the staff are polite and smiling except the guy who is working at the reception. He kinda rude and snobbish. With no intention of helping you. Not accommodating and will just give one word answers. Will I recommend and go back to this place? Probably not, simply because of the unaccommodating guy that works in the reception. That would be enough reason to ruin your holiday if by any chance you encounter this guy.

We found The Sunshine Resort to be a great place to stay on Koh Kood. Property is large and bungalows have nice spacing so they are not packed in together like some resorts. The breakfast wasn't stellar but was good enough. Scooters are almost a must for anywhere on Koh Kood if you wish to get out away from any chosen resort to explore the island so don't let the location dissuade your visit. The restaurant prices are also very reasonable. In addition if you are looking at visiting Koh Kood you are looking at the nicest island that I have ever visited in Thailand hands down!

We've visited Koh Kood for 3 times. Sunshine resort is, probably, one of the best hotels on this island - not expensive and very good. Long and beautiful white sand beach, clear turquoise water, huge territory of this cosy hotel... We lived at the Garden Hill Seaview with Breakfast in January 2016. There are all that you need for staying in this house inside, but no TV, It wasn't problem for us. Also there is no teapot in the room, but boiling water is always at the restaurant. Mattresses on the bed were hard and it was uncomfortable to sleep - one negative moment! In general, everything was really amazing, it was quiet and calm, like you came to your native village. The rooms are cleaned almost every day< but it's better to ask about this ) Very tasty and not expensive food at the restaurant. Of course, there are many gekko, frogs and another representatives of fauna at this hotel, but this is due to the fact that there is wildlife around you. We will be back at this hotel.

paradise in south-east Thailand”
We stayed at Sunshine with two children. After arriving everybody was very friendly, helpful, pleasant, smiling. We got the most beautiful cottage with nice view on sea and first on sunset.Everything was very clean, daily cleaning of bungalow, changing towels, perfect breakfast. The Sunshine is in the end of the Ao Phrao beach and you feel like in paradise!!!Thank you very much all stuff for everything. There were the most beautiful days in Thailand. Thanks and have a lot of successes!!!

Wonderful Hotel for a Great Price”
This hotel is a great value for what you get. The rooms are cleans and well appointed with daily room cleaning and fresh towels. They also provide beach towels. We stayed in a garden seaview room which has a great balcony. If you're a light sleeper, you may here your neighbors through the shared wall. The staff are friendly and helpful with luggage, arranging transportation, day trips, etc. They can arrange for snorkeling and fishing with the owner's dad, Mr. Lek. He's very nice. The beach in front of the resort is beautiful and great for sunset watching. My only suggestion would be to have designated smoking areas. For non-smokers, it's very unpleasant to have meals times and balconies surrounded by smoke. Overall, I highly recommend The Sunshine Resort.
