Excellent location, not far from attractions. Quiet at night. Friendly and attentive staff. Housekeeping was excellent. Parking was 15 a night though you probably can find street parking during the weekdays. A little pricey but provides, but the garage is convenient. Breakfast was good with excellent service. Not bad for a first trip to San Diego and California.
Hi Anthony, Thank you for your kind words about your stay! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our location, friendly staff, and clean accommodations. It's great to know that you found our breakfast satisfying as well. We appreciate your feedback regarding the parking rates. We'll certainly take your comments into consideration as we continue to evaluate our services. Thank you again for choosing to stay with us and for sharing your positive experience. We hope to welcome you back on your next visit!
This has been our go to hotel since the beginning of this year and it never disappoints. From the front desk staff to the rooms, to the breakfast to the location, you cannot really beat it. The parking garage is first-come, first-serve and can run out of space easily, and also it is very tight so once it is filled, it can be difficult to get out of the spot. Not a huge deal, but something to note. They offer a minimal breakfast, but it suffices our needs; you can choose from waffles, oatmeal, cereal, toast, mini muffins, juice and coffee. If that does not fit your needs Old Town is about a 2-minute walk and there a plethora of restaurants to choose from. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is newly remodeled. The rooms include a mini fridge and microwave which is convenient. It's a comfortable stay, for reasonably priced rates. Would definitely recommend for those on a budget and are only utilizing the rooms for sleep.
Hi Daniela, Thank you so much for making us your go-to hotel since the beginning of the year! We're thrilled to hear that our staff, rooms, and location have consistently met your expectations. We appreciate your feedback about the parking garage and understand it can be a bit tight at times, but we're glad it didn’t affect your overall experience. It's great to know that our breakfast options work for you, and that our proximity to Old Town adds convenience to your stay. We're pleased to hear that the remodeled bathroom, comfortable beds, and in-room amenities like the fridge and microwave contributed to a pleasant stay. Thank you for recommending us—your kind words mean a lot, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon!
I flew down last week for a Marine Graduation. The hotel is in old town which you can walk down to some nice restaurants. They have a tourist attraction around the corner. It is near the airport, near little Italy which is also a nice place to go to if you are a night owl or in the day for brunch(Morning Glory is the spot for brunch). The room we had was a king, it was small sadly, no views, highly recommend you keep the windows close cause anyone can look inside your room from the hallway inside not outside which is weird. Check the lock cause I couldn’t twist the lock all the way, which kinda kept me up most of the time just in case but luckily there was a family next door and I felt a bit safe. The inside of the room has a moldy smell, walls were stained, doors were stained, they recently just painted the room, so the scent is still there rather you leave the AC/fan on. The corner of the room on the wall you can see like it has a bubble that looks like it got water in it. The bed was okay. The staff were nice and friendly especially the old man(not that old probably around his 40-50) down at the front desk and the one making breakfast. They were both sweet. Their waffle breakfast is soooo nice and fluffy and freshly made. They would literally make it in front of you. The breakfast room is not big but it’s very homey and a nice way to start the day. Great location they just need to work on their rooms a lil bit more. You know what they say you get what you paid for and honestly I did NOT get what I paid for but it was too last minute for us to switch hotels but we make the best of it. I would book it but I would get the queen bed room NOT the king. Would also book just because I like their waffles. I stayed here on 08/22/24-08/26/24.
Hi Rosalia, Thank you for taking the time to provide detailed feedback on your recent stay with us. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed our convenient location and the breakfast, especially the waffles! We strive to offer a welcoming atmosphere, and it's great to know our staff made a positive impression on you. However, we're disappointed to learn that certain aspects of your room did not meet your expectations. The issues you mentioned regarding the room’s condition, including the moldy smell, stained walls, and the lock, are concerning. This is not the level of quality we aim to provide, and we sincerely apologize for any discomfort these issues caused during your stay. Please be assured that we are taking your comments seriously. We will review these concerns with our maintenance and housekeeping teams to address them promptly. Your comfort and safety are our top priorities, and we regret that we fell short during your visit. We appreciate your understanding and hope you’ll c
We secured a great deal especially since we stayed at the hotel on Labor Day weekend. We were literally one block over from our favorite area of San Diego ~ Old Town. Our room was super spacious, comfortable bed. I always appreciate when hotel bathrooms have plenty of counter space for all our personal items. Loved that a continental breakfast is available each morning with a concierge preparing the waffles for us. Great coffee too! Very pleasant visit. We felt safe walking back and forth from the hotel to Old Town as well as parking our rental car on the street though under cover parking is available at a reasonable rate. Definitely will stay here again.
Hi Teresa, Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience with us! We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the great deal and the convenience of our location near Old Town San Diego. It’s fantastic to know that you found your room spacious and comfortable, and that you appreciated the ample counter space in the bathroom. “Decent and safe location”
This hotel is within walking distance to Old Town San Diego and within close driving distance to a lot of main tourist attractions in San Diego. If you are looking for a no frills, decent hotel, then this is it. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was newly renovated. Some of the walls and baseboards had some scuffs/damage, but nothing that was major. We liked that the hotel has a parking garage. They also serve breakfast items like cereal, oatmeal, toast and Belgian waffles. The waffles were delicious. There is also coffee, tea and a few juice choices. You can enjoy breakfast on a cute outdoor patio. The front desk employees we encountered were extremely personable and courteous. The only minor complaint I have is there was 1 morning that there was no hot water available. The hotel attributed it to too many guests showering at once, but I would assume hotels have adequate boiled rooms to accommodate the number of guests. It was not a huge deal, but was inconvenient. We were out exploring the city most of the time, so the hotel worked for what we needed it for. We enjoyed that it was less than a 5 minute walk to Old Town, so we got to explore that and eat great food! I know some people prefer to stay at higher end hotels, but for the price per night that I got the room for, I feel like this hotel was adequate and fulfilled our needs.
Hi Daniela, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback about your recent stay with us. We're delighted to hear that you found our hotel to be conveniently located near Old Town San Diego and within driving distance of many tourist attractions. We're glad you appreciated our clean rooms and newly renovated bathrooms, as well as our parking garage and breakfast offerings, especially the delicious Belgian waffles. We're also pleased to hear that you found our front desk employees to be personable and courteous. However, we apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the hot water issue. Please rest assured that we are taking steps to address this to ensure it does not happen again in the future. Overall, we're thrilled that our hotel fulfilled your needs during your visit to San Diego. We appreciate your understanding and feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for another enjoyable stay in the future.
